Can't open emails/drafts in new window. It just opens the mailbox again
Hi all! Again thanks for the feedback on this!
I just wanted to let everyone know that this has been fixed and the change is in the process of being fully rolled out. A good portion of you should be able to see the ability to open up a mail from a shared mailbox in a new window working now. The fix should be fully deployed to everyone by Monday morning.
This started for me yesterday 12-16-19, repaired office, the same problem persists.
It's not fixed yet, or provider the directions.
This problem has just started for me today. Please advise on how to resolve - it's a very annoying issue.

Force the new interface but the bug is well known...
The new interface is deploy in August and the big activity of my enterprise is now with this sad bug.
What did Microsoft for his customers...
IT usage is not the goal but a tool for most user.
We are not credidible at the support team with such bug.
It's a shame. The bug is report since 6months and no patch.
Is it really an enterprise services. Shared mailbox is really use in most enterprise...

We have now been forced on to the new OWA but this is still mot resolved!!!!!! :(
from shared mailbox, you are not able to open an email in a new window even with the open in new tap option
Since the initial setting is the “Reading pane” setting, correction is required immediately.

Double-clicking a message in my mailbox opens it in a new Windows (using Google Chrome). Doing the same in another mailbox (opened via 'Open another mailbox') doesn't work. It opens a new window, but displays the entire mailbox in it.
"Open in new window" in shared email addresses opens whole client, not the individual email. This is a major issue for workflow.

Drafts do not appear to be opening in a new window. When I double click on a draft in the list, it opens a pop-up window, but in that window it is the entire Outlook interface, not just the e-mail, and more importantly, it isn't the draft I double clicked on, it's just a blank new e-mail. Same problem when I use the pop-up icon in the upper right. I need to be able to open a draft in a pop-up window and size it how I need it, like we used to be able to do.
Why I can't open the mail and read it in full size???
We're seeing the same issue with shared mailboxes. Double clicking just opens another inbox, not the message you want to open.
I have the same issue. I can't open any message from my shared mailbox in it's own window, double clicking or even using the "open in new window" shortcut just open another inbox. This needs to be fixed.
This is a BAD bug with the new layout -- opening single messages is important, not only for workflow but for accessibility! Please fix.
We are seeing this too, but usually just with Share Mailboxes.
