Can't add new contact to existing contact list that isn't in directory
I can't add a contact to an existing contact list that isn't in the directory. I had to switch back to the old version to add it.
I am ANGRY. I've been trying for TWO HOURS to find how to add contact groups to the global address list. I can add one to my personal contact list but there doesn't seem to be any way to make it available company-wide. Online help has been great for finding other people asking the same question but no answers. THIS IS BASIC FUNCTIONALITY, why is it so obscured?
Want to just add a contact's calendar in my calendar view by searching their name, currently need to click 3-4 times

It would be useful (to me, at least) if it were possible to create a contact list from the list of recipients (+ sender) in a mail, using the 'More actions' list of mail. Now one has to create a contact list manually when one wants to start communicating with a new group.

I'm the same - it wouldn't allow me to add a new contact in the new version but I could add a new contact list or contact group no problem? Had to switch back to classic outlook to just add a contact!

To further clarify, in the older version, when you clicked the field for "to", "cc," or "bcc," formerly, a new window would pop up with contacts from which to choose. This feature has been disabled in the new platform.
In order to search for contacts, I was required to leave mail, go to contacts and select the people to whom I wanted to write an email.
yes absolutely need this on the new format

Can't seem to associate a Contact to a Contact List now. With the old version, all I had to do was select the contact and then I could use the "Lists" menu item to Add them to one of my existing "Contact List" entries.
