Can't reply to S/MIME signed mails in new Office 365
It should be possible to reply to S/MIME signed mails in new Office 365. Even better with full S/MIME support.

In my country, socially important organizations are required by the government for various information security measures. The organizations sometimes use S/MIME.
Even though the organizations have introduced S/MIME for the safety of recipients, it is a serious problem that recipients cannot execute Reply and Forward commands on the preview screen of OWA. -

i was really surprised today to see that S/mime encryption rolled out on the version 4.50 released on 24th of October 2019 was gone on the version 4.53 in both IOS and Android....

Since it is very inconvenient for the recipient that the S / MIME encrypted mail cannot "Reply," "Reply All," and "Forward"
on the preview screen of OWA,we would like you to fix it.If S/MIME cannot be used properly with OWA, it is a serious security concern and will seriously affect the use of S / MIME.

This is REALLY whack... Please do something about it as the workflow like this is just balls.

This is absolutely crippling and should be a top priority.

I realize this is just a workaround (better than nothing!), but you can use the outlook mobile app for these messages, it allows replying.

Classic Outlook view shows if a e-mail is signed (S/MIME seal icon / badge). New Outlook web theme does not show that in the overview. This is a very important security feature to certify that a mail was sent from the "real" sender and not modified or tampered in transit.

I can't use the new outlook because it does not recognize that I have the S/MIME control installed. Without this recognition, I can't respond to any of the emails I get from customers who digitally sign their emails. I am a government contractor, so 90% of my emails come from government workers whose email application defaults to sending signed emails. Fix this and I'll give it another shot.

Lack of the red ribbon shown on s/mime signed messages.

Also can't forward messages. Terrible lack of functionality around anything from anyone sending with S/MIME involved.

New OWA s/mime certs do not work as expected. There is no badge on the message and you cannot verify the certificate in chrome, edge or firefox.

S/MIME is dead. But the cybersecurity industry will cling to it for another decade, so Outlook needs to support it.

S/MIME control doesn't work for Edge in the new Outlook for Web, but it does for IE.

Did anyone test this before releasing it?
What's going on?
Why can't I reply to these in the new Outlook version, and when did you start hating your users / forcing them to do things?

I went from this:
"The digital signature for <people with signed emails> on this message is valid and trusted. For more information, click here"to this:
"S/MIME isn't supported in this view. To view this message in a new window, click here."And clicking reply does nothing. So I do "click there", and it brings up a popup window. Do I have to open a popup window every time I want to reply to someone? C'mon man!

Yep, same as with everyone commented, It makes it impossible to use new outlook because of luck of support for S/MIME

Unusable for me as well as many send emails signed with S/MIME in our organisation.
