deeper search option
Offer deeper search in new outlook.
Currently when I search in the new outlook it doesn't pull up all of the search results, only the more recent. I had to switch back to the old outlook to pull up older messages

We recommend using the Advanced Search for more targeted searches like you are describing.
Click on the button in the right side of the search bar, which should say the folder name (for example, “All folders”). When you click this button, a dropdown menu will appear with a number of fields you can use to narrow down your search.

Just to add on, search has unexpected behaviors. For example, if I specifically search on emails from a specific contact, I still get emails primarily from others (where that contact may have also been on the email). If search on emails from: a particular contact I MEAN IT -- don't show me other stuff! C'mon.

There are many threads complaining about search, I don't know if this is the right one to post in, but my observation is similar OP. The search function seems to be heavily biased towards recent. To the point where I can provide a very precise, multi-word key phrase from the title of an email I receive periodically, and instead of finding those emails, search will instead return recent emails that only match on one (very common) word in the key phrase! Using literals (" ") doesn't help much. Lotus notes email search in the 1990s was better. Please take this seriously, you need to do a lot better on this.

Searching for emails is almost impossible! It keeps coming back with a "Your request can't be completed right now" I have to keep switching back to the old Outlook to search for emails and then switch back to the new Outlook to continue with my email. Very time consuming and aggravating.

Agree, my work switched over from Google mail to Outlook 365, and it takes 5-10x longer to locate emails in Outlook than it did Google. The search DESPERATELY needs improvement.

Search options topic used to be that the system gave you the possibility for choosing the mailadres with that searchterm and for choosing if you want it with attachement or not.Those two functions I missed in this new version.

Outlook 365 is only showing search e-mail results FROM THIS YEAR!!!! Believe it or not, I need to be able to find e-mails OLDER THAN 1 MONTH
