I would like to be able to disable Expressions. I turned off the beta solely because I can't disable the expressions. Let me know when you have the feature added and I'll re-join the beta. Thanks.

The setting for this feature is under Mail > Compose and reply > Quick suggestions.

The weird highlighting of words like 'thank you' and 'apologize' was horrific. This is my business email. I do not want to link cutesy gifs to my boss. There was no clear way to turn them off, either.

Do NOT like the suggestion of emojis in professional emails!

Drop automatic adding of emojis for words like "thanks." While appropriate for teenagers, they are too silly for work.

Why do software designers always think that more complications and meaningless googaws equals "better"? When I type "thanks," why on earth would I want to be presented with a selection of idiotic emojis? What moron thinks it's helpful to present me with a set of canned choices like "Great, I'll check it out" at the bottom of my e-mails? Believe me, there's nothing that says "I want to have a conversation with you" more than clicking on a canned response because you're too lazy to type out "I'll check it out." Also, when I delete e-mails, why does some stupid box appear saying I just deleted e-mails? How do I make this go away? If Outlook's designers really wanted to improve the product, they could earn their excessive salaries by eliminating features that stupidify the product. Make it simpler and get out of users' way.

I'm writing emails, i don't care THAT much about emojis! As soon as i write something like ":P" the emoji popup keeps trying to search for the rest of my 2-3 sentences until i hit i don't know what and it opens a search panel for emojis on the side. Emojis are not that important and they are preventing me from writing emails. It happens quite often and it's just annoying.
Core feature: write emails efficiently.
Nice to have: add emojis. When your "nice to have" gets in the way of your core feature, you've *********.

This is insane. I work for a large enterprise. I can't get highlighted words with GIF suggestions as I write email.

What is going on with the font changing color as I type??? I think it's trying to change colors to show possible misspellings, but it doesn't work and it *actually* changes the font color. Then I have to select the word(s), change the font back to black.

I agree. Silly to make this the default.

Everytime I type "good morning" it's highlighted and a gif appears. Everytime I type something in the search bar, nothing can be found however when I switch back to the old Outlook it can b found.

Get rid of autocorrect and auto-hyperlinking on PC. Trying to change the words "Good Morning" into a hyperlink, then freezing to look for suggested GIFs to companionate those words is ridiculously unproductive. An email service that can't handle an opening line isn't worth using.
Please put back the Templates button, the whole point of templates is to SAVE time - hiding it in the bottom of a dropdown list is counter-productive.
Let us copy email address and other information to the clipboard without adding random line breaks or trying to be "smart" and pulling up a blank contact page every time an address is clicked or highlighted. This has been a problem since before the "new" outlook 365.
Please move the New Mail button back to the email part of the window. For the 99.95% of us who only use two categories (inbox and sent), that whole pane is a useless waste of space - adding the new mail button there just emphasizes that fact by making us open it every time now. (The one with Groups, Discover, Create+ and the other bloatware.)
Stop trying to make this smarter at the expense of productivity. If you want to have a slow bloated tablet experience for Surface users and the like, make a new program for them. Don't wreck the one that works.

EVERY TIME I TRY TO TYPE THIS "EXPRESSIONS PAGE" Opens.... So annoying!!
Also... many of my messages keep randomly getting deleted.

Absolutely agree. This makes the sender look ridiculous.

Any of these JS bells and whistles should be opt-in, not opt-out. If that's not desirable, surely it should be the default for any enterprise versions.

I completely agree! I'm also disabling Beta solely because of the Expressions. Also, I wish I could vote for this topic without having to subscribe... >:(

I can't turn off expressions, I'm using this at work, I don't need the program changing what I'm typing. An easy way to turn it off would be nice

When I receive an e-mail that's non NM origin it should be kept as" warning "since it cold be spam and contain a virus.

stop inserting word that refer to Expressions. I don't need your help to express myself the way I do. It's an unwanted personal invasion! especially inane thank you and emojis
-
Dana commented
Get rid of those expressions! Outlook is not a social media platform. It is used by businesses and schools who need to project professional content.

I agree. Perhaps allow a choice of personal/casual versus business.

And can we revert back, even from this original Outlook, to be able to tab to the next line in an email rather than as it does now...just tabs to the end of the message, please
