search in folders
Why can't you search a folder for specific people anymore. You can search by size and date but not people.

Request is to have a find folder results that will allow us to scroll to the folder location.
This will allow us to see the folder in it's context. ( situation awareness)
Also we should be able to assign custom properties to folder, like description and keywords or any custom fields*
Note: If folders are to be replaced with Categories, make sure we can create a hierarchy of categories and add description to them.
Exemple:
I have three project each identify using a category. For each I have the same sub-categories.The only way to know which sub-categories is the one i'm looking for, is either by a description or by knowing one of it's ancestor. Scroll down to the folder will allow me to get that context.
*Custom fields assign to folder will allow us to write email from a specific folder and push the value of those custom fields inside the email.
Example a folder with a custom field subject: "meeting regarding XYZ". When writing email from that folder, the subject will automatically be push in the email subject.
OR
When we write email from a folder. Email subject will display a drop down list of the most common/popular subjects in that folder + the last 10 most recent subject. If user start typing then the list will display any relevant subject from that folder

Add the Search Folders functionality that we have in the Outlook desktop app to Outlook on the web so that we can do things like arrange emails from all folders and subfolders by size to help delete large attachments that are clogging up limited storage space.

Search filter by folder is NOT WORKING after latest update. If I just want to search for a category within a folder it doesn't bring me to the right folder unless after I perform the filter I then click on the category within an email message.

When you search I am unable to filter through different folders. Also when I DO click on an email pulled up in search, it doesn't at least tell me which folder it is in. In the older layout, it tells you which folder the email is in. Or at least I am unable to find it. Please help!

Using the search field automatically forces a global search of all folders, and there doesn't appear to be anyway to limit a search within a specific folder. Clicking on a folder and running a search in the normal OWA limits the search to that folder. In the new OWA, a user who clicks a folder (i.e. Sent Items or a custom folder) and then runs a search is forced into a global search, which is generally useless if you have a lot of folders with filters set up. Hopefully you'll fix this asap as I can't use new OWA without that search feature working correctly!
