When importing a .ics file, the UI makes me choose a Calendar to upload to. I only have one Calendar; the field should be pre-populated.

When you add a calendar from a file, and then select the calendar that you want to add it to, it works great for the first file. On the second and future files, the import button isn't clickable until you change the calendar to a different one and then put it back to the one you want.

When I try importing an iCloud calendar, it doesn't sync at all.

Previous version Add Calendar > From Internet allows access to URLs created by iCloud calendar. Beta version Import Calendar > From Web has a greyed out Import button after entering the same URL.

When publishing a calendar, assigned appointment categories are not included in the calendars *.ics file.
It would be great to have them e.g. as a X-MICROSOFT element in the file, too. -

I was hoping this feature would be added soon to help users migrate from G Suite. Not everyone uses an Outlook client!
Microsoft, do something about this to help those that want to migrate to your services.

It would be nice in a webbased Outlook to be able to import calendar *.ics files directly into the Calendar. Right now, I have to start an email, attach an *.ics file then use "Add to Calendar" on that attachment to import an entry into my Calendar, then discard the email. It seems a bit awkward. Thank you!

Finally found the function to import event via .ics upload, but miss having the function up on the toolbar as a quick click.

I received a calendar event. Did not know how to import an ics file in the new outlook. The option is not on the menu like in the old version. Can you add it?

I was mostly enjoying the new interface but when I found out I couldn't import an ICS file, I switched back to the old one immediately. I can't figure out why Microsoft removed this. It is quite important for anyone that wants to sync an event from a website, or through a personnal email address.

Agreed on the poor design/placement of the feature. Often, even switching to old OWA results in conversion error, including events from MSFT itself. Oy.

Agreed. Very bad design for .ics file import.

Direct import to OWA would be fantastic. Certainly, burying the import from file option under Discover is not intuitive at all. I searched for several minutes before turning off New Outlook, where I could easily import the ICS. Will have to go find the option outlined below.

Same. When i receive a mail message invite, and try to import ICS it fails in the new UI, but when I switch back to the old UI, importing the ICS works.

Thanks this person below for outlining where it actually went, and add my vote to "bad design, should be more apparent"

It is buried, it is there...but again, buried.
If you go to Discover calendars (because that makes sense, right?) it is there on the lefthand side under "Import Calendars".Still would like this on the main calendar page at the top like it was before. (or something similar) thanks!

Agreed. Really essential - particularly for adding in flights/travel details which are often downloaded as ics files

Agreed. Where did that functionality go?

Agreed. Our entire university sends meeting invites this way. Entering these manually will be a huge pain.

Yes, we need a way to import meeting invites through the web.
