  1. Rules for junk

PLEASE add rules for junk mail. I often get mail in my junk mail that is actually useful, so I look in there often. Lately, I've been getting SO MANY phishing emails from Save Yourself trying to "blackmail" me into sending them bitcoin, and it automatically goes to my junk folder, but I want anything with the words "Save Yourself" to be deleted so I don't have to look at it. Their emails contain an old password of mine, and their emails are all different, so even if I block one, I'll get another email from a different address in…

  2. Obvious spam being sent to Inbox

Why is obvious spam not going to Junk or being blocked. 42 emails with the same "From" and "Subject" that arrived within 120 secs to my Inbox. These should have been filtered out and deleted or at the very least sent to Junk. Why weren't they?

  3. Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated

20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.

  5. Problems with Blocked Senders list and junk mail Filter Options.

    1. The Blocked Senders list puts email from Blocked Senders into my Junk Mail folder, rather than into my Deleted Files folder, due to the differing and changing subdomains that the spammers use.

    2. Outlook does not allow wildcard (*) to block all subdomains from each email domain.

    3. The filter options to block all subdomains from each domain don't work.

    4. How do I block all email with address in the PATTERN of a@a.b.c? Notice that a@a.b.c is a PATTERN, not an email address. An example of a particular spammer's address is holdon@holdon.luxuryzero.com which is in the PATTERN of a@a.b.c (format).

    Please…

  6. Junk e-mail: block e-mail addresses using wildcards (eg *@*.can

Junk e-mail: why can't you allow the user to block e-mails using a wildcard and only part of the e-mail address? I receive, EVERY DAY, emails from pharmacy<something>.can and I want to block @.can instead of wasting my time to block every single instance, every single day

  8. Email from senders I have emailed are clearly not junk, yet end up in Junk folder

2 options --let me decide ONCE until I say otherwise that a sender is ok. Or for heaven's how hard can it be to write an algorithm that allows email from a sender to whom I have sent email??? My "Junk" folder often contains more than 50% mail that I want to receive -- and from repeated correspondents who I have designated as "not junk" repeatedly

  9. What happened to blocking domains automatically

There was a great feature that let you choose to block the entire domain when you chose to block an email. This was great because I used to have to go through the blocked senders list one by one adding the bad domains. I thought it should have been expanded so that if you chose to block a domain, it automatically deleted all emails from that domain that was in your mailbox.

Instead of expanding the functionality, it looks like it has been removed. Bring back the option to flag email as Junk, block it, choose to block the domain,…

  10. Send blocked emails straight to deleted items instead of to junk mail folder

Send blocked emails straight to deleted items instead of to junk mail folder. There are 2 options, to mark as junk or to block, yet both put the emails from that domain or sender into the junk folder. It makes no sense to have 2 different options that do the same. If something is blocked, it shouldn't ever appear in junk mail or the inbox.

  11. Block email address containing emoji character

Spammer email address includes emoji character which stops them from being added to my contacts and/or blocked.

    Example of spammer: CBNl.🎈@ee-business.com

  12. Why does Outlook not block all emails not on the safe sender's list

On my blocking junk emails. Why does the blocked senders and domains file only save what the dropdown on the tool bar blocks? I feel if I go to the trouble to manually block junk emails into the blocked senders and domains list, those I put into it should remain blocked forever and not be released to inundate my email account over and over. I feel I am being jeopardized with my safety and privacy by Outlook allowing junk emails into my account. WHY DOESN'T OUTLOOK WORK TO BLOCK ALL EMAILS THAT ARE NOT ON A USERS SAFE SENDER LIST?

  13. Emails in RULES sent to JUNK folder, repeatedly.

If an email has a rule, "move the email to a folder" why does the JUNK filter continuously dump them into the junk folder? How much code does it take to "check the rules" before "engaging junk engine?"

We’re sorry people are experiencing issues here. We have gone back to the old behavior for the left-hand folder tree to always show since last year and we hope this has addressed most issues.

There are some reports in the comments about individual folders not showing up. In order for us to get to the bottom of the issue, please post as much detail as possible in your comments. What steps are you taking? Which browser/computer/operating system are you using?

    Thank you for your help.

  15. Add 'Safe Senders' link to Junk Email

Add "Safe Senders" link to Junk Email.
I receive junk email that is actually useful. I block junk and/or report phishing scams., neither of which is entirely effective. Please add a link other than "This is not spam" because its use is only temporary and applies to the single email (in my experience).

  17. Block images in phishing emails

Outlook does not block images unlike O365. When obvious phishing emails are sent, the images are opened automatically sending beacons to the attacker. Why is this basic protection not here?

  18. Automatically block sender and ip when message is marked Phishing

Microsoft's software engineers are smart enough to make this simple line of code happen - Automatically block sender and ip when message is marked Phishing, so that users' junk boxes don't get unmanageable by the quantity of junk that gets through. The time it takes to look up the sender data, copy the ip and paste it into the blocked sender panel just gets too long when you are dealing with 20+ junk messages at a time.

  19. Need Safe Sender Button

It is NOT functional that, every time I want to add an email address to the Safe Sender list for an email that has ended up in the Junk email folder when it is NOT supposed to be there that I have to (1) highlight and copy the email address, which often takes a few times because of the automatic pop-up that occurs when you hover over the address; (2) click on the settings button; (3) click on View All Outlook Settings; (4) click on Junk; (5) click on Add; (6) type or copy and paste the email address in;…

  20. Include the use of emojies in rules

Give me the ability to use emojis within rules in all conditions and instances. Thees scammers have become creative; using emojis to generate an unlimited supply of phishing email addresses. I'd like to move every email from every email address (using emojis) to my "deleted" folder
