It's a mess.
It's a mess. Someone went wild with the crayons. I'm an adult; I want my emails to be displayed in clean, clear and succinct manner. It's Email, not the next great novel. Stop trying to fix what isn't broken. The old hotmail was clean, and now I'm dealing with Focus and Other - sheer idiocy, so don't make worse than it is!
217 votesFirst off, thank you for taking time out of your day to try the new Outlook.com experience as well as providing feedback!
Since you have left this feedback, we have introduced a lot of additional settings that will allow you to configure the experience to be closer to the classic Hotmail/Outlook.com experience.
To get started click on the Gear in the top right.
From there you might want to Disable Conversation View, Reading Pane, Sender Photos, Attachment Previews, Group messages by date, and Focused Inbox.
Once you have those off it should look much more like the older experience.
Hope this helps, and please keep the feedback coming!

17 votesHey all,
You can reach Outlook.com support by going to the Help pane (the ? icon in the header) and searching for solutions to your problem. If the solutions provided do not solve your problem, you can click “Yes” to “Still need help?” on the bottom. Then you’ll have the option to contact a support agent.

Cannot Empty Other
Cannot empty Other without checking each email individually. What is going on??
5 votesIf you look to the left of the Focused/Other buttons, there is a gray circle with the check inside. If you click that button, you will select all messages in Other. Then you can use the Delete button in the triage bar (above the Focused/Other buttons) to delete all, or move all, etc.
Hope this helps!

Can not move subfolder to a folder of the same level as inbox/drafts folder
I have one subfolder and I cant move it to the root level (same level as inbox/junk email/draft/sent items)
29 votesYou can do this today!
You can drag a subfolder to the top level folders and it will appear there. Alternatively, you can right click on a folder name and select “Move”. This will let you move the folder anywhere.
We will look at updating the text to make it clearer.

I can't see enough email messages at once; I need to be able to see more. And too much going on.
Show more emails in inbox and other folders.
101 votesThanks for your feedback! You can make more emails appear on the same page in your message list by configuring the density settings of each message.
Click on the settings gear, and open the quick settings pane. Then, set Display Density to Compact. Then, click on “View full settings” and search for “Message Preview Text”. Set “Message Preview Text” to “Hide message previews”.
This should give you a much denser view of your emails!

I‘ve changed my username, but why the email' username is not changed in the same time? How I change my email's username? thanks!

double click email / Pop Out
I want to double click my message to see the full message rather than the squashed preview, it's missing some information unless I scroll the preview pane.
877 votesThere have been a few people reporting that double click isn’t working for them. We are checking to make sure that this feature fully gets enabled. I will respond back soon with an update.

Trouble with printing emails
When I try to print certain emails, it will only print what was in the inbox or the entire webpage as one page. Exiting beta allowed me to print only the email directly.
82 votesFirst off, Thank you all for using the new outlook.com experience and for reporting feedback!
I just wanted to let you all know that over the last few months we have been working on improving and ensuring the print experience is working as you expect.
All of the known bugs and issues should be resolved. Please give printing another try. And as always, please leave any feedback you may have!

Compose and Replies should be on a dark background in Dark Mode
When composing an email, either reply or new, the background is white.
This should not occur when on "Dark Mode".Additionally, when highlighting text when in Dark Mode, the background that would usually display when highlighting is transparent making it difficult to tell if the correct text is fully highlighted.
26 votesHi all – Thanks again for the feedback and feature suggestions! I just wanted to let you know that over the next two weeks you will start seeing dark compose. This means that when you are writing an email, you will be able to not have the white new email screen.
Thanks again!

Hate the bubbles with initials on it. I can see their name and it causes less emails to be displayed, meaning more scrolling for me.
Disable the initial bubbles. Or make them smaller. If you are going to use colours, let the user decide which colours to use. Black for advertising, blue for family, red for friend, etc. It would make it much easier to scroll through and find something you are looking for.
80 votesThanks for using Outlook.com!
You can turn off this feature by going to Settings → Mail → Layout and under “Sender Image” select the option: “Don’t show sender images”.

Bring bak my old outlook it so much easyer to get to no fuss no muss get my idea there?
91 votesThank you for using Outlook.com, and for providing all of this great feedback. Based on your feedback, I think we have an option that will adjust the mail view into one that you like. You can turn off the reading pane view, this will give you the old view like you had in the old outlook.com with messages only showing when you click on them.
Follow these steps, and you will get your mail in one view
1) Click on the Gear in the top right
2) This opens the Quick Settings pane. From here you can either turn the reading pane off, move it to the bottom, or on the right.Hope this helps!

Beta has changed the format of my outlook email, formerly hotmail. I cannot use it adequately. Please help.
If your users are dissatisfied, it would make sense to change back because BETA is causing headaches. Dissatisfied users will jump ship.

It's to har do block junk mail domains
Since number of same mails from not so serious senders are sent from a number of different domains. i would like to have a button to block the domain directly in the UI. It is quite cumbersome to copy domain and add it to the block domain list.

Recover Deleted Email Alias
My daughter accidentally deleted my email alias which was a *******@hotmail.com (an email address I've had since before the world wide web). Now I'm told that I can't recover that alias even though it's the main email address for the account because it's a reserved domain. I should be able to recover that email alias since it's already tied to the account. Everything I have is tied to that email alias.

I HATE THIS 'NEW' SETUP!
I HATE THIS 'NEW' SETUP!
those that don't use things, create them. There are things on the main email page that I don't want or need and NO way to get rid of them. You are trying to add more and more ways to 'spy' on everything that everyone does. Class Action anyone?13 votesThank you for your feedback. We appreciate that you took the time to write to us.
