calendar colors changed
Why would you change the colors from one version to the next. Keep the colors the same in the new version.

solid background
Since I use the calendar for my shift schedule (which consists of both recurring and one-time appointments that can span both single and multiple days) the multi-day events are more important to me and I need them to have a colored background box. While the old calendar could use a dedicated shift feature, the colored background box for multi-day events was decently useful. Having that replaced with the thin dotted lines makes it really bad for this purpose.
For other people, though, things might be different. Why not give us the option to choose whether we want solid background colors…

Email Reminder Time Frame Too Limited
In the current outlook.com calendar there is an option to remind you of a calendar event at 5-6 different intervals within a hour and day. There is also the option to remind you at 1, 2, 3, days and 1 or 2 weeks. You can set up multiple reminders per calendar entry. For example you can have a reminder for an entry at 30 minutes, 4 hours, 2 days, or 2 weeks before the event. You can use one or all of those reminders.
Using the beta I created a calendar entry that only gave the option for 5 minutes…98 votesUpdate March 2018:
Thanks for trying the Outlook.com beta! We’ve added additional reminder options. When you create or edit events you’ll see the full range.

repeating or recurring events
Not enough flexibility scheduling repeating events. Can't schedule a repeating event every other week. Current Outlook provides excellent flexibility.

Old Colors that pop out to you
All-Day events no longer pop out with the highlighted colors - those are my monthly reminders and recurring dates that NEED to stand out to me. If anything, the day-to-day appointments and schedule COULD be unhighlighted.

default calendar
Need an option to set default calendar for new events. I have a shared calendar which I'd like to set as default, but everytime I create a new event it starts within the Personal Calendar. Some version ago it was possible (like, the last calendar selected for the last event would have been the default calendar for new events)

calendar invites
In the new BETA of outlook.com calendar there is no way to invite others to a calendar event. If that is not resolved I will be forces to leave outlook.com entirely. I love Outlook.com but this is THE calendaring system for all of us, and without being able to share and invite it will not work

calendar event description
I was unable to add event description. Is it possible now? Only title, place, time, repetition, reminder is available. Option to add/edit event description is must-have. Otherwise it looks and works fine.

I share a calendar across the family for each member, and I want to be able to put calendar entries on their calendar
I would like to create calendar entries on my kids calendars (like I can now with the old interface). I'm using Edge on Win 10, and I do not see a 'calendar' selection. This is required for me to use this calendar … please add this back!

Calendar seems useless without the ability to invite others. All I have with the new version is a glorified wall calendar without pictures
Seems like a step backwards if you cannot invite anyone.

Unable to edit calendar events effectively in Beta version, pop up is too small.
Beta version looks good, except its hard to edit calendar items, as the pop up is very small in the Beta version.
The original version gave you a big pop up that you can read the entire contents and edit as needed. The Beta version is too small to edit effectively.8 votesThank you for your feedback!
