Family calendar iPhone
I had previously manually created a “family calendar” that I shared and was therefore visible on outlook web, app and iOS calendar app. The latest update seems to have absorbed my manually created “family calendar” items into the new “my family” shared calendar which I do not recall being ask d permission for, however this new “my family” calendar is not visible in iOS calendar. Please resolve ASAP as not everyone uses the outlook app.
Why does this go live without ANY warning announcement? The ability to access the family from different applications (iOS Calendar, Windows Calendar, Outlook.exe as well as Oulook App) was a great asset and broadly used including by our family members. Unfortunately iOS any 3rd-party application access including native Outlook.exe (production build) is gone!!!
We've been blind for a couple of days until we figured out workarounds for everyone to at least have read access by Outlook iOS app. We still miss having a common calendar overview for different calendar sources (personal, family, business) across platform's and devices...!
Please reactivate or provide an additional calendar interface for 3rd-party calendar apps.
Microsoft. What are you doing? This is ridiculous. Not only did you force us to use your horrible app, but you don’t even integrate it into your own app well. Why do I need to rsvp for a family event. That’s what the family event is for. And when I do now I have the even in my calendar in your stupid app twice. Once in family calendar and once on my personal calendar. In what way is that helpful? What is the point of the family calendar at that point... yikes... at this rate you will be third to apple AND Lenux.
Seems like a common thread that Microsoft just pushes out changes without asking for feedback, or considering the user experience. I use the Outlook Android app for managing my calendar but use the default Samsung calendar app for notifications since there's better integration with my gear watch. Additionally, the calendar is missing from the desktop Calendar client on Windows 10 which I got notifications from. This change needs to be reverted or some solution needs to be made. It makes no sense to do something like this, especially when it breaks Microsoft's own software as well.
We have missed the dentist and an important hospital appointment as the family calendar has gone without warning. It is where everything is kept. The calendar in the outlook app is awful. This needs fixing... why are we going backwards?!
The ability to access the shared family calendar through the iOS calendar app is critical, you need to be able to view all calendars side by side when booking appointments. This is not possible if you have to move between iOS and the Outlook app to view different calendars. You need to be able to view the family calendar alongside work calendars. Urgently requesting this feature be reactivated.
This has effected thousands of household that depend on being able to share the family calendar in other applications. I say thousands...because for every one of the people finding there way here and other chat rooms, forems, threads there are thousands that dont know about these venues.

Windows 10 is degraded by this change too. So now, I can add and see Google calendar events direct from the Taskbar Clock, but I can't see Microsoft family events. Very poor design decision. Very poor UX to cripple the Windows 10 native calendar.

My family counted on the shared calendar which is no longer accessible on our iPhones or iPads and I can't even move the data to a different calendar. This is a VERY bad thing for people who relied on sharing calendars to make appointments.
Our family had to change from Windows phone to iPhone and we use the family calender in order to get all the same information. Now it is usealess for us. I hope, there is a solution on time!
Now I have gone and manually entered all the items we had on the calendar on a new shared calendar. We do NOT WANT THIS CHANGE! I missed my dentist appointment today because it was GONE from my iphone. This is unacceptable. I left Google and Apple accounts behind because i wanted something that worked across devices and OS's. I pay for Office 365. And this is how you treat your customers. Be ashamed of yourselves.

The shared family calendar has apparently been migrated to a group calendar. This new group calender does not show up in other apps than the outlook mobile apps and outlook.com on the web. This makes it useless. Many android and iOS apps that provide a "sync with my calendar" feature, can only sync with calendars that are added to the built in calendar app. This means we can no longer sync the school and sports clubs calendars to the family calender. Besides that the new group calendar is not visible in Windows Mail and Calendar and Outlook 365 on the desktop and Microsoft launcher on mobile. The whole idea of having a family calendar is that ii shows all the appointments of all family members. Please undo the changes.

This really should be changed to something more generic. The new family calendar can't be viewed/edited by Iphones, Alexa, Any integration that uses ICS files, Windows 10 Mail, etc.
Same on Android.
Same in PC Outlook.
We need the family calendar on our clients and client apps.
The Family Group Calendar is totally useless as it does not synchronize with any device for any family member. Not just that, the origianal Shared calendar was migrated without in advance notification. ****.

This is a very bad move from Microsoft, pushing me to move to icloud. Family very upset now losing all family calendar and no easy way to move it to icloud!!!

In general I like the way how new features or feature changes are communicated,
The migration from "Family Calendar" to Group calendar "Your family" with loosing access on it with windows 10 calendar, outlook was really bad or better, not communicated. To read about such changes only in the FAQ section in the docs without finding it on google or bing is a real bad move.

The "Your family" group not having a calendar that replaces the existing family calendar is poorly conceived and the lack of notification about this change. We depended on family calendar to plan events so now not having it just makes it that we will use icloud or google.
Uhhh. Microsoft. My wife is mad. I am not happy. We cannot manage our family appointments, events, kids school and activities etc across our iOS, Android and PCs. This is seriously impactful to families across the world. Right when school starts. Microsoft is better than this. Please fix this asap!

Daily agenda email doesn't support Family Group calendar events or events assigned to other Groups. It did support the shared Family calendar before the feature became a Family Group this past week.

Due to this change the default Windows 10 Calendar app also no longer shows the family calendar
