auto
I already know what I mean to say. Please make all auto features optional so they can be turned on/off manually.

We’re sorry you’re not finding these features helpful. All our intelligent features have settings that can be individually disabled by going to:
Settings → Mail → Compose and reply, and finding the respective feature.
From the issue opened here, it sounds like this could be one of two items:
1) Text predictions: Outlook suggesting words of phrases as you type a message.
To disable: Settings → Mail → Compose and reply → Text predictions → Uncheck “Suggest words of phrases as I type”
2) Microsoft Editor: Outlook can help find spelling and grammar mistakes, or suggest alternate ways to rewrite sentences you’ve written by flagging them with an underline.
To disable: Settings → Mail → Compose and reply → Microsoft Editor → “Microsoft Editor settings”.
From here you can select which types of corrections/suggestions you’d like to see, or turn them off completely.

Yes. I need this feature turned OFF. I can proofread my own messages without help. Please turn this off. Do you see how many people have complained in this topic right here, and there are probably THOUSANDS more who didn't bother. We have to keep pestering these folks, until they give us the option. If we don't speak up, these fools will just keep doing it to us. When we start to leave Outlook in droves, maybe then they will listen because they sure as heck ain't listening now.

There is literally NO POINT filling in the feedback forms. They don't care. They probably don't read them. I've done so twice since I last complained. I AM SO OVER IT!!!!

I absolutely hate this feature. I find it very distracting and annoying. I have spent a good bit of time trying to turn it off but can not figure out how. I also find it insulting to be told by my computer what I might want to say.

Listen to all these complaints. Why can't you offer the option to turn off simplistic suggestions from inarticulate people?

I am a journalist. I write for a living. I am SICK of your annoying suggestions about what I should write next. Your interruptions are unwanted, and interrupt my flow of thought, thereby negatively affecting my work and costing me precious time. You ask for feedback on this feature, and I have given it. SEVERAL TIMES I have requested that you STOP with the auto-suggestions. These requests are ignored. Your persistence in shoving your unwanted feature down my throat is, quite literally, affecting my work. I am *this* close to making a formal complaint against Microsoft. As all of my other complaints and requests for you to CEASE and DESIST have been blatantly ignored, I am requesting that you supply me with confirmation of this message, and an assurance you will now, finally, take notice of what I, and many others are saying, are saying: The auto-suggestions feature should be OPTIONAL, not COMPULSARY. We should not have to waste our time navigating our way to a particular page in order to tick boxes and otherwise fluff around trying to undo what was involuntarily done to us.
Thank you.

Here's how to fix this issue since they don't have it as an answer here!!
To turn off text predictions in Outlook.com
Open your Compose and reply settings in Outlook.com or Outlook on the web.
Under Text predictions, clear the Suggest words or phrases as I type check box.

Apparently you don't take our feedback seriously as you keep doing it after I repeatedly ask you to stop! Don't ask for feedback if you are going to ignore it! I don't want your help in composing my email messages and it just makes me mad.

I agree with all other comments here. I am completely baffled as to why such an involuntary feature is forced on us with no way to opt out. It interferes with my ability to concentrate on what I'm composing. If someone else wants it, fine for them. But let me decide.

Am absolutely sick of dealing with the auto complete feature. As another writer noted, it's easier for me to type what I'm thinking that to deal with the suggestion. More times than not, the suggestion is NOT what I intended to say. Please provide some method of blocking or turning this feature off.

Please stop or give me a way to stop auto complete in Outlook. That is so annoying. It interrupts my train of thought and takes MORE time to compose a note. Please stop it!!!!

I agree with all the comments. Let us compose our emails the way we want to and stop imposing your edits/compositions. Thank you.

Every time I get these automatic suggestions I get angry. As the other commenters have said, I know what I want to say and I don't need help. These suggestions are distracting and annoying and insulting. I especially agree with the person who complains that there's no obvious way to turn off this function. Please stop imposing your editorial suggestions on those of us who know what we want to say!

I absolutely hate the automatic suggestions. I am a good typist and I know what I want to say. These suggestions do nothing by slow me down. Even if the suggestion is what I want to say, I can type it faster than I can decide to "tab" and accept it or not, and it distracts me from what what I was going to say. This feature may be great for some users, but for me, I hate it. I would love to be able to turn it off, but so far I have not found a way to do that.

How do I turn off auto suggestions for writing emails? They are annoying and distracting. It's easier to just type what I want to say!
