Hide Specific Spelling/Grammar Suggestions
I want an option to hide individual spelling/grammar suggestions. I disagree with one of the suggestions and don't want to see the blue underlines. They are distracting.
Thank you for using Outlook.com and your feedback! To modify which suggestions appear:
1) Go to Mail > Compose and reply.
2) Under Microsoft Editor, go to Microsoft Editor Settings.
3) Switch options on and off for the corrections and refinements you want.
Alternatively, while writing an email draft:
1) Select Editor in the compose ribbon at the bottom of your message.
2) Click to select or deselect suggestion types (Spelling, Grammar, or Writing Refinement).
You can find more information on Microsoft Editor here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/check-grammar-spelling-and-more-in-outlook-com-and-outlook-on-the-web-c6b1283d-81a2-47f1-bc85-9e8dfc0cbf15
Glad to see the solution is to go and have users make adjustments when previously no need to make any such adjustments nor was their an issue with Spelling/Grammar. That was until someone decided to make improvements to a perfectly functional feature. Thank you for making improvements where users need to make adjustments for features to function correctly...

Microsoft, stop interfering in our mails!! How many opinions do you need before you listen to us? You are a few thousands... WE are millions. Listen to us!!

How do I get rid of sentence suggestion? It's an awful idea and should be junked. Whyever did think we wanted this????!!! We can write our own **** sentences without your interference.
Glad I kept this comment chain open and refreshed. I saw the instructions to turn off the annoyance and it seems to have worked! Yay! Thank you to the poster on 5 Oct.

SOLVED - - To turn Off "Grammar", auto "suggest"[sentences], etc. anything Not needed.
You can keep the classic MS Spell-Check or rely on your browser's SC.
Settings(gear) - Mail - Compose and reply - Uncheck/Check what you want.
THEN scroll down to Microsoft Editor Settings.
Left click and open MES.
Turn On - Off your choice(s)
BE SURE TO SCROLL TO BOTTOM [using outer "slide"]
AND CLICK -OK- to save your settings
So glad am not the only one to notice this now worse than before.
goes to common theme with MS now across all products now.

I LIKE the little red line that shows up under misspelled words -- I often copy and paste comments I'm posting on a website into Outlook just for the spell-check function.
HOWEVER, PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO TURN OFF ALL OTHER SUGGESTIONS!! THEY ARE ANNOYING AND USELESS!
I, too, wish we could turn OFF this annoyance. It's irritating and extremely annoying. I can type an email without anyone's help. I just keep typing what I had planned to type and try to ignore it. Too invasive. Stop monitoring my emails! Isn't that illegal?
Sentence suggestions and/or corrections is totally inappropriate. Has gone to point of invasion of privacy!
I've repeatedly asked if there's a way to turn the autocomplete off.
Very annoying and seems there's no way to disable it.
How do i stop you from finishing my sentences for me? I don't want your help!!
I too hate the new autocomplete. However, repeatedly telling them that and asking for an option to disable it hasn't worked. Do you suppose they don't really care whether we like it or not?
It is outrageous that literate people must endure this intrusive grammar check. Why don't we have the option to turn the thing off? I hate it.
I don't mind spell check but hate the sentence suggestions. Please tell me how to disable or opt out of that feature!!

The new autocomplete feature in email is EXTREMELY annoying. I find myself either distracted by it or even fighting with it because it interferes with me saying what I want. UGH! Make it stop! Or at least make it clear how we can disable it.
I have a degree in English, I am a native speaker, I do not need *ANY* 'helpful' grammar and spelling auto-fill suggestions - I find them intrusive and offensive. How can they be switched off? I didn't ask for them and I don't want them. I fill in the feedback each time I am offered it, with no cessation of this annoying **** - can something be done?
i want an option to turn it off, i do not need some invisible grammar g0d polluting brain while i write; if at the end of my writing i wish for a grammar check i'll ask; HOWEVER, the check interrupts my thoughts and is a pain-in-the-*** to work through;

Add the option- "Add to dictionary" to the drop down. When you tell me MY NAME is spelled incorrectly it is annoying not to be able to fix it!!
Hi, I came on here to make a complaint about the same. Only I see that others have beaten me to it, and others yet are agreeing in droves! I pay for grammarly, which is there when I feel I need it. There is a free option, which is very handy when one needs a little help with tidying things up, or a spell check. What's great is that it's optional. There's no interruption of flow of thought, or rude assumption of grammatic imperfection when the person may just prefer a relaxed exchange of irreverent banter with the intended recipient! Let's hope that one of us gets through to the thems that read this. ;-)

How do I eliminate the suggestions? It's a mess. When you backspace to delete a word or suggestion, the cursor disappears. Take me back to version minus one!!!!! I can spell without help.
