Move or hide the "Files" section on the left bar
The new section "Files" in the left bar (to access fast to the email attachments) should be moved below the main Mail Directories, because the main use of the interface is navigate between mails and not files.
we were testing this bud decided not to move forward with this design. Thank you for the feedback.
So much agree. When I want to open an attachment, I go to the message (because that's where the attachment lives, I never signed up to have it in my OneDrive or whatever anyway) and grab the attachment from there.
Don't get me wrong, I can see the accessibility potential for some brains to have a separate files thing and think the **option** should exist; I just absolutely disagree that it needs to be at the top for everyone with no toggle. I also think that Outlook.com should *remember* from one session o the next that I already closed it, so please don't re-open it.
The sidebar in general needs better settings about what it will or won't present, and at the barest of minimum a simple on/off toggle for all non-mail groupings must be present. It's already annoying enough when functionality most of us would never picture in e-mail (I open a note-taking or text-editing application when I want to take notes, so why must I have a mandatory "Notes" folder?) is stuck there, please don't make us deal with entire extra categories of stuff from outside e-mail.
Yes, there's a sharp trend towards folks who only use mobile devices exclusively loving interconnectivity between everything at all times. Make options for those folks, sure. Just don't forget those of us who remember that *computers* are what you use for computer tasks, where adding redundant linkage between stuff just adds interface clutter to no real benefit (and, in fact, to notable detriment).
Files folder is annoying... UN-NECCESSARY
Agree that Files in the Navigation Panel should be turned off. I have two useless files there that I do not want. No way to get rid of them.
Please turn Files off.
Is there any way to turn off "Files" in email or move it to the bottom? "Inbox" is what I would like to have at the top of my email.
I do not like the folder named FILES, it i very useless and annoying. We should be able to delete it if we do not want.

This should be removed totally. It's unnecessary and just makes what once was the best email format out there pretty unappealing.

Please remove Files from top of Inbox. Takes up space I want only for my emails. If it has to stay, let me move it down out of the way of what I want to see.
Or at least allow the "Files" section to be collapsed. I can collapse it by clicking on the arrow, but then it is open again the next time I open my email page, so I have to collapse it every time. The best solution would be to allow it to be hidden or moved to the bottom of the navigation panel. Having it appear near the top left of the panel uses up space for an unwanted option and makes a user scroll down to see email folders. Very inconvenient.
