Update Outlook so that email addresses with abnormal characters (not "special" or normal) can be blocked by command and rules.
There is A LOT, and I really mean A LOT, of spam mails that use email addresses which include characters that we don't normally find anywhere in ASCII. We need Outlook to become able to block and IMMEDIATELY REMOVE email addresses that include non-ASCII characters, very badly.
These email spammers are willing to make any nonsense character be inserted into the sending address at any cost, just to waste space and time.
The fix for this should be rolling out over the next couple weeks!
Has this been fixed? i am still unable to block these just emails and I am getting 20 a day,.
I hope so. It used to work where BLOCK was Blocked not dumped into the Spam box. Somebody changed something in a negative way.
My Inbox is not working for the past two months and all the Emails are caught up. Kindly help us to get it resolved.
I am unable to receive Emails in My inbox for almost two months. My Inbox shows " YOU ARE ALL CAUGHT UP" . Please ensure that I receive all Emails through mu Inbox.
Are you guys aware that blocking an email address that contains any kind of special character (ie: ð«Ÿ🎈💋) doesn't work? Neither blocking the individual addresses nor the domains will actually block them.
I've been inundated with emails from addresses containing these special characters for months with no way to block them at all. I went from averaging 4-5 junk emails coming through overnight, to an average of 15+ & with no way to stop them.
It's a fact that spammers have found ways to generate random senders that are also impossible to block. One trick that is used is to "encode" the sender information so that it is visible but contains special characters e.g. ❄ (snowflake) which prevents existing programs from accessing the information in the usual way. The coding is based on the UTF-8-character set in combination with base64 transformation.
The problem could easily be solved by letting the rules be able to use other than ASCII in the condition field for sender’s address
Please make a quick update of the Outlook
