Rules for junk
PLEASE add rules for junk mail. I often get mail in my junk mail that is actually useful, so I look in there often. Lately, I've been getting SO MANY phishing emails from Save Yourself trying to "blackmail" me into sending them bitcoin, and it automatically goes to my junk folder, but I want anything with the words "Save Yourself" to be deleted so I don't have to look at it. Their emails contain an old password of mine, and their emails are all different, so even if I block one, I'll get another email from a different address in about an hour. I'm so sick of it. It is ridiculous that rules cannot be applied to your junk folder.

Other free email services (Gmail, Yahoo, etc) have gotten their act together, and the only 'junk' email I get are from people who are not yet in my contacts.
Maybe Outlook should try to hire more competent technicians.

Junk mail filtering is horrendous!! Please fix this. I keep getting phishing scams in my inbox, and emails I actually need are in my junk, even when I move them to my inbox. So I"m constantly having to filter through junk AND INBOX every day and have missed some important emails

There used to be an option to create a "rule" to block a domain. That would help with reducing the phishing scams. Most of the repeats come from the same domain, but have different "prefixes" thus allowing the same email to get through over and over even though the recipient has sent/marked previous emails to the Junk or Phishing folder.

Any email that contains my user name in the body of the email is JUNK!! It's from someone who doesn't know my name and is trying to pretend that they do. That's a very simple rule to implement

This may be related to the Linked In hack that occurred sometime ago. I am getting more and more junk emails I believe from the Netherlands in Dutch language that I don't speak. I have tried to report as Phishing, but since they are going into junk email box, nothing is happening to get rid of them. I do scan the junk mail because sometimes something I do need has gone there and I have to move it over to my inbox. I don't click, open or respond to any of these emails in Dutch.

Yes this is very true , blocking doesn’t work, sweep rules don’t work and if you try and unsubscribe you get even more coming through, I’ve learnt not to unsubscribe leaving your email address it just gets passed on and you get more , redtopgames is becoming unbearable

Your junk classifier needs more training with clearly labelled data.
Of late, I am getting more junk emails in my Inbox, while expected emails end up in Junk box.
VERY annoying! Please fix with high priority!

As a freelancer, I've lost 2 jobs now because new clients' emails are automatically put in my junk folder!
How is there no way to prevent this?!?

The entire point of providing a free product is to entice users to use your paid products. Does Microsoft not have any Product Managers? This is not putting Microsofts best foot forward. This has been an issue since 2013!!!
Many legitimate emails go into the junk folder. However, I have to sift through 100s of malicious emails to get to it. On a few occasions, I deleted an important email because of this. I can assure you, I won't miss emails coming from ".xyz, .ru, .science".
If for some important reason you won't allow us to block domains, then allow rules to apply to Junk Folder and create a malicious folder, so we can redirect useless emails.

It's just awful. No matter how many times you might clear certain types of emails, too, it keeps burying them in the junk mail folder. and 10 days before autodeletion? Outlook is SO close to being the best free email on the planet. But these kinds of ***** ups will lose them a TON of customers. Fix your heuristics or better yet just let us manage this stuff. Or just let us walk, if you don't want us then great cya, MS ALMOST turned its rep around solely by treading water while everyone else screwed the pooch... but I guess the possibility of success was too much to handle.

I get way to many "normal" mails from people I know and just regular work mails in my Junk Folder. And NO I do not want to add these mails all manually as safe adresses in my list. On the other hand, just annoying obviously marketing and advertising mails from "big" companies arrive directly in my inbox. At this point I would even glady dissable the whole Junk Filter option and just receive every mail in my regular inbox. The hotmail algorythm is just dpuble wrong. It is false negative AND false positive in many cases and herby I would prefer getting every mail.

I've noticed lately that emails ALREADY IN MY IN-BOX are being moved to my junk folder before being read. Not acceptable.

How, how, how in the world it is possible that my notifications from Teams, forwarded to my personal outlook account, ends up in the Junk folder, EVEN after I white list all the addresses I could think of???!?!?!?? Come on guys!! This is MS, you can't drop the ball like that!! No, seriously, please, get it together. Thanks.

Yep.
This has been happening for quite some time. Worse lately too.
I flag emails as 'not junk' and it moves it to the inbox, but then tomorrow i'll get another email from same sender and it's back in the junk folder! Why can this not be fixed!? -

A lot of my useful mail is going to junk file, EVEN if I add it to the SAFE list. What's happening Microsoft?

Try adding a sender to a list of safe senders. You can't right-click, choose from dropdown menu. No, you have to manually copy the address, re-open the safe senders list, manually paste the address, choose the next adress which closes the safe senders list.
An incredible number of clearly important E-Mails, individually written, from importand and respected domains, land in my spam folder. Frankly, ridiculously bad.
