BLOCK EMAIL ADDRESSES
BLOCK EMAIL ADDRESSES - The option to block junk email addresses used to be on your menu along with Sweep, Move to and Delete. An update you made 1-2 years ago removed this, making it MORE cumbersome to block bogus email addresses. Now I have to (1) select one or more email addresses, (2) right-click, (3) then select Block. Please restore this to the menu bar.
Hey, thanks for your feedback! You can currently do this from the menu bar. When you’ve opened an email (or selected multiple), click the “Junk” dropdown button in the command bar. You can find this button below the search bar, next to the “Delete” and “Archive” buttons. Then select “Block” from the menu that appears below the “Junk” button.
not sufficient, I want to block everything from a company that uses various ###@@@.###@@@.appspot.com
This does not apply if the "block senders" file is full.
you must not know much about spam and viruses, if I open the email, my computer is infected. I was until last week about to select all the spam, right click, go to block email senders, and that was it, now I have to open the dang spam to block it, Gmail doesn't make me do that, seems you're giving me the proof that Microsoft is promoting spam email viruses.

As soon as I click block I receive a pop up below my emails that has block greyed out and see emails also which brings up all my deleted addresses
You CANNOT block unwanted messages from the Junk dropdown menu, it shows a message "show blocked addresses" or something like that and the unwanted messages still remain in the folder.
This HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED.
Yeah, thanks for telling me that I can block emails now!
Except it doesn't work. And we're limited in the number of blocked emails that we can have.
Being able to block domains would be a better option.
I get over 50 **** emails a day, and I also have emails in the Junk Mail folder that I want to go to the Inbox, and nothing I do to try to get them to the Inbox works.
MS needs better blocking options, perhaps with some sort of AI attached that will simply block bogus emails before they ever get to anyone's account.

Tried yesterday using 'block' on 25 junk emails after receiving your email about this issue being closed? It did not work! So tried again this morning on another 9 junk emails and still not working if you select 'block' so once again I selected 'phishing' to report and delete. So will the 'block' option ever be up and running again or what?

This is a real sad news set up because it want you to take the whole address you want blocked in this is very inconvenient and unacceptable stop messing with this. The old way of doing this with you Clicked on the one you wanted blocked push block And you were done it was blocked this new set up is a complete and total joke and Way too time-consuming and very clunky hard to figure out and most of the time does not work appropriately
@COLIN, HOW ABOUT YOU GUYS WHITELIST YOUR OWN EMAIL ADDRESSES! FOUND THE "COMPLETED" NOTICE IN JUNK!
Yes but unless I'm mistaken (haven't read other comments yet, to see if anyone has mentioned this), there is a LIMIT on how many addresses you can block. Yes you can block domains, but virtually all of the spam I am getting is coming from individual domains. Once I hit my limit on blocks, the floodgates opened and the spam has just been POURING in. Please at least increase the limit---A LOT!

The "Block" option only shows up on the menu bar when an email is open. It does not show up on the menu bar if one or more e-mails are selected.
Thank you for providing a way to block e-mail addresses again. I am drowning in more spam than I have ever received before.
I received a message telling me how to block junk email as a fix , it doesn't work because block does't work.fix block junk email .
I've know that. It doesn't work anymore. It used to, but now when doing so none of the email addresses get blocked nor are they deleted from the junk mail folder like when marking them as phishing scams.
Outlooks should offer options of what to block (complete email address or URL or the 1st part of the email).
Right now, I block all junk and then edit every blocked email address in order to leave just the URL.... and there is no option to block all "Newsletter@" addresses
