Obvious spam being sent to Inbox
Why is obvious spam not going to Junk or being blocked. 42 emails with the same "From" and "Subject" that arrived within 120 secs to my Inbox. These should have been filtered out and deleted or at the very least sent to Junk. Why weren't they?
I, too, have this issue. I gave it time as the bugs were being worked out of the latest changes. However, 2 years is long enough. I've never had this much junk mail - in junk or in inbox - in over 20 years of Hotmail. The same account was clean and useful and now it is becoming obnoxiously full of trash. Even the horrible *** ads have started coming through again. Rediculous. Please find the old programmers who know what to do with these systems. Please.
The amount of phishing and spam emails has increased massively over the past few weeks. Well over half of my daily emails are spam at this point. All contain the same format and identify no actual sender email. unsubscribing does nothing. This should not be taking place. What is being done about this? Are you selling our information?
I am so past tired of junk/spam/fraud/*** **** being sent to me ! I block/mark as spam/e-mail the sender back, etc. - YET STILL GET THIS MESS ! IS OUTLOOK MAKING MONEY OFF OF IT, OR DO THEY TREAT IT AS A JOKE ?? My wife has canceled her account, and if this keeps up -- SO WILL I !!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!!
I'm having the same problem with a lot more obvious spam getting through to my inbox. I don't know what might have changed with the filtering or with how spam is being disguised to look legitimate, but this is annoying. The email filtering for spam is not working well and needs to be fixed to improve the separation of junk emails and routing to the appropriate Junk folder.
so much junk delivered to my inbox. your junk filters need a serious update..
Junk keeps getting sent to inbox while real emails are going to junk. It's just gotten really bad, what is wrong with your spam filtering system?! So sick of this.
RIDICULOUS amount of Junk Mail. No matter how many times it's blocked or marked "Phishing", mailboxes are still filled with it.
This weekend saw my Inbox flooded with Junk/Spam emails again. Over 600 in a 2 day period. It was very frustrating as I had to search for genuine emails.
This once again proves to me that I will be deleting my msn account.

spam from domains like AeTgv1256G.de spam filters are so poor
All junk mail going to inbox. Creepy. That's not the only problem. There's a limit on how many addresses that can be blocked. I reached the limit a while ago. Probably a way to get clients to pay for an upgrade. MSN/hotmail using junk mail to coerce people which makes msn/hotmail as bad as junk mail, potentially contaminated mail and **** that can't be blocked, and when clients do block it, the sender changes one letter or number, or adds a letter or number and mail gets through anyway. Never-ending, computer generated addresses, junk, ****, lies, viruses. Pointless to block. But then, that's the point, right?
The amount of spam I'm getting lately is ridiculous. Out of control ridiculous and I've done nothing out of the ordinary to provoke this unsolicited junk mail. I really wish that you'd do something better on your side to start blocking this ****. My wife also has a hotmail account and is noticing the same thing. Please do something to stop this absurd onslaught on junk mail.
Hey you Microsoft developer, what did you do that the Junk/spam filter is not working anymore? y

So It looks like its fixed and my spam mail is being sorted to my Junk folder. Good news. Here's the follow up question. Will MS BLOCKING feature now work? When I block an email I now see a new option to select, "Block all emails from this address" - The big question is - is the BLOCKING feature working better than it was before? That's the question - Will I be able to block and stop receiving the same emails and offerings from the spam senders...? keep fingers crossed (when I'm not typing) lol Any thoughts on this?
all spam is coming directly to my inbox from last week... whats going on?
junk folder is not working at all.

Starting on January 17 or 18 my inbox went from only receiving mail from my contacts list to being inundated with junk-mail. I contacted the developers with the outlook app as initially I thought it was the app creating the issue. They checked everything and said it must be an account related issue and to contact outlook.com
With how many complaints I am seeing recently; I am surprised that this hasn't been fixed asap. Like others on here, I have been with outlook since it started as hotmail and never had this issue until now. Hoping this is fixed soon!
My inbox is being inundated every few minutes with spam emails for the past few days. I don't want to set my permissions to only receive emails from those in my contact list because I do get outside emails that are legitimate.
I've never had this problem before, unlike many of the people posting here, but something has changed (or a vulnerability has been identified and used) in the last week or two within Outlook that's allowing obvious junk to filter through.
Oddly enough, after sending the first batch into the junk folder the other day, I was browsing through the junk and found 4 more instances of one of the emails (all with different spoofed sender addresses) that had all been filtered correctly into the junk folder.
Hello, I did notice a lot of spam recently, first thinking I had given my email on a bad site, but then realized that after blocking them, 2 senders couldn't be blocked and kept spamming my inbox.
After looking into it, I saw that the senders had emojis in their adresses, maybe interfering with the blocking mechanism. I just tried blocking the whole domain instead; maybe it will solve that unpleasant problem.
I guess it's only a mater of time before MS fix those blocking mechanism to take that new reality in account.

Somebody came in this morning to a "s@@@-storm" - and it appears to be fixed. Way to go, team!
