Obvious spam being sent to Inbox
Why is obvious spam not going to Junk or being blocked. 42 emails with the same "From" and "Subject" that arrived within 120 secs to my Inbox. These should have been filtered out and deleted or at the very least sent to Junk. Why weren't they?
I'm getting obvious spam & phishing attempts daily from Netflix, Paypal, various banks etc. They also go straight into Focus Inbox - other email services are able to filter these with no issue!
I also make sure to mark each as "phishing" in the vain hope the Microsoft algorithms learn, but it doesn't seem to make a difference
If this doesn't get fixed soon, I'm going to have to switch services ...

Ummm ... WTF? Up until a few months ago, your spam filter seemed great. Since then, all ****'s broken loose. I understand it's a game of cat and mouse, whack-a-mole, whatever. But you guys should be way out in front of all this. It's TOO MUCH!!

Come ooooooon, how can your spam filter be so incredibly primitive??
Why should I even mark scam emails as phishing? You haven't done anything about that for years now. No response from you.
What do you mean this this Uservoice idea is under review?? It should be in progress and marked as critical.
I got some new ones:
Sender name: a͏firstname.lastname@example.org
Sender address: email@example.com
Recipient address: firstname.lastname@example.org (certainly not mine)
Main CTA link's domain: app.getresponse.com
Closing: Amazon.com Customer Service
Sender name: ApρIe ID
Sender address: email@example.com
Recipient address: firstname.lastname@example.org (not mine)
Main CTA link's domain: r20.rs6.net
Do you honestly think this belongs to anyone's inbox?
I get the same phishing attempts sent to me over and over and over and over and over and over and over again *despite reporting them as such*. They are blatantly obvious that they're spam & phishing attempts yet you cannot even flag them as "junk"? There's two issues that make the outlook web client inferior. One, it is awful at detecting and dealing with spam and phishing attempts and two, you have no filter feature that allows your users to set up a filter and have them get redirected to the trash as they come in. With a company that has a $1.67 trillion market cap you would think you would be able handle such a thing.

Huge amount of junk email not being blocked in my inbox daily from fake Apple ID and Netflix accounts. My inbox and Junk box are overflowing hourly with huge amounts of Junk and spam. Why are filters not working? It's been much worse the last few weeks.
Oh my goodness I HATE you Outlook - your spam filter is simply hands down the WORST. I had better spam filtering in the late 90s. I'm really tired of this - you're an embarrassment to Microsoft ....and to 2001.
very disappointing email service, my account is flooded with spam

I'm very much so considering switching to GMail, because of how annoying this is.
I would love to know why this is not the easiest fix in the world.
90% of the spam/scam emails I get are people pretending to be PayPal or Netflix. I'm a software engineer, and these would be the easiest things in the world to catch as phishing emails.
I also genuinely worry that my mom (who still uses Hotmail) is going to get duped by these scam emails.
This should have been fixed as soon as it was reported. I've been getting these scam emails for the last couple years, and been reporting each one. But still no fix.
And Outlook's rule-making functionality is garbage, so I can't make rules to catch these things.
I am having the same issue. I have been reporting a junk mail issue as I receive the spam in my focus folder. I am not able to keep up with the influx.
same!!! They come from ALL different email addresses so I can't block each one as it's a different one every time, BUT the name is always the same "Raging Bull Casino" - lol. It would be really helpful if you could block by "name contains the words/phrase" instead of address or domain only

The domain names DO NOT MATCH.
Does this seem like a legit e-mail to you? Do you honestly think this belongs into my inbox?
Even a schoolboy's email filtering algorithm would identify this as an obvious spam.
Yes, I have have reported it as phishing. I've been doing that for years now.
Seriously! This is starting to get out of hand! At first I had the same complaints that everyone here has, but as of like 2 days ago, I'm getting ALL KINDS of other junk mail in my focused section too!
i am really spammed by many emails sometimes more than 1000 mails per day. why it can't filtered and deleted
I thought it was just me!
Seriously, update the system already! You don't even need a fancy learning AI program to figure these out; a first-year programmer from the last century could figure this out. It's coming from someone setting their name as "netflix" and "Paypal" when the address is not. WHY IS THAT GOING INTO MY INBOX? Update your system already!

Non-stop obviously fraudulent Netflix, Paypal, USPS, FedEx, or other fake delivery companies' emails are making it to my inbox. Also! how are emails arriving flagged!

same issue! jeez yes.. why's this so problematic??
I love that this has been "under review" for over a year. I have marked three obvious phishing attempts from "paypal" today and two from "netflix"
Today is not an anomaly. This is constant. Come on now, product team.
How can the spam filters be this bad?
Same problem here. I'm getting almost everyday obvious scam emails pretending to be from "Netflix" and "Paypal". I click report as junk, I click report as phishing", I click "block", but nothing works, still getting same scam emails all the time. I'm so tired from this. Obviously Microsoft has very weak security features. Gmail seems much more powerful and better with handling such problems. Microsoft do something or I'm very close to stop using my Microsoft email at all.
