PLEASE stop breaking things!
Please stop breaking your online email tool. There are four crucial things to remember in online email tool design: 1: Backwards compatibility with older browsers, 2: Efficiency/speed, 3: Simplicity (meaning, email tools have been around for decades and should work the way they always have worked), and 4: a good spam filtering. You keep violating the first 3 points in the name of new "features" (read: annoyances). and NOT fixing the dreadfully bad spam filter (it keeps catching a huge number of legitimate emails, rendering it pointless). I can configure some aspects of the third point (trying to keep simplicity) to get around them, but there is no way around the others. Remember, there is absolutely NO feature in an online email tool that is more important than backwards compatibility with older browsers, efficiency, (traditional-style) simplicity, and a good spam filter. As of today, you have finally managed to completely break the site with respect to my primary browser (and NO, "upgrading" my browser is not an option because all that ever does is ruin my browser with horrible UI changes and extreme bloating). Again, and not meaning to be impolite, but let me make this crystal clear: Please stop breaking things!!! (And maybe instead, spend your efforts fixing your dreadfully bad spam filter, but mainly, PLEASE STOP BREAKING THINGS!).
Thankyou, my inbox seems to work correctly again. I was fairly upset the other day when something had apparently been "upgraded" that broke my primary browser's ability to view the inbox, but it seems to be working again; thank you for fixing whatever was wrong. That said, please be very careful not to break it again in the future; there's no "upgrade" that is worth more than keeping things backwards-compatible, efficient, and (in a traditionally email-tools-have-been-around-for-decades manner) simple. The only things I'd suggest changing (while NOT breaking backwards-compatibility, but rather actually increasing it) is improving efficiency further, the spam filter (which keeps catching many legitimate emails), and maybe dropping some of the weird and frankly annoying features that make things work less traditionally (meaning, email tools have been around for decades and should be simple; there should be no split inbox, the folder navigation sidebar should ALWAYS show up, etc.; a proper, clean, traditional email tool interface). And my best, oldest browser stopped working a year or two ago when the "light" version of the site seemed to disappear. My suggestion is that the "light" version that supports even very, very old browsers should be the standard version; I have zero interest in a heavy, bloated tool to do something as basic as email. If it is light and simple and backwards-compatible, it is better. If it requires a newer browser and is slow and bloated, it is worse.
