SPAM!
The amount of annoying pop ups trying to push new "features" feels very untrustworthy. Mail services should not be confused with social interactive sites.

Spam is multiplying daily. Today I blocked 18 but then again what does the blocking do? I found by poking into the nooks and crannies of Outlook there is a category labeled 'subscriptions'. I noticed that not only does it list legit sites but it seems that spam sites are also listed. It lists an option to delete but to delete they will actually link you to the very spam site to supposedly unsubscribe. HOW does this spam qualify to placed on the 'subscription' list if it is obviously malicious and dangerous. Would I want to to be directed to that site? I THINK NOT. And these are messages that haven't even been OPENED. I hover over the address and it's easy to see that it's garbage and up to no good. So what is the solution???? WHY and how do they become subscriptions? What is your definition of a 'subscription'?

This "idea" is nonsensical and nonconstructive IMO. You're upset at the developer of an application for informing you about new features? Most customers would be upset if something significant changes and there's no notice or mention of it. Also, the fact that you used "SPAM!" as your title is confusing a lot of commentators and is probably the only reason vote count is as high as it is. Messages about new features is not SPAM.

SPAM emails has increased exponentially over the last 6 months AND to an email I solely use for a specific purpose (group related). I never purchase anything EVER using this email account. I have no idea WHY this account receives these SPAM emails. It is extremely annoying, however, it would be very inconvenient for me to create a new email using another platform due to the nature of this account. I am a treasurer as well as an area coordinator for a group. When I switched years ago and forwarded all emails from my old platform to hotmail, it took over 2 years to finally get the old account out of people's contact list!
Unfortunately, if this level of SPAM continues, I may need to make that change.

I am stopping the use of Outlook due to the amount of Spam I receive. I block each and every one, but continue to receive over 30 each day. I get a couple on Yahoo and none on Gmail email accounts.
Why is this?

Is there a place to actually get help on an individual account, versus FAQ-type answers? A threat to close my account from probably-not-Outlook--but what if it is--needs more attention.

YEP, opened my Microsoft outlook email and WOP there they are. The same spam emails I report all the time. Thank goodness I installed DUCKDUCKGO to tamp down the advertising junk. Wow, outlook is dangerous. Had to terminate my mother-in laws Outlook account because of phishing scams. No protection by Microsoft, How Sad.

I have started getting a ridiculous amount of spam recently. I've changed my password and security settings. Nothing helps. I've reported and "unsubscribed" to SO many emails. I'm afraid to enter my email here because I don't want it to result in more spam! Suggestions?

Every day - multiple times - I get spam from the same cretins who manage to change one letter in their address each day. I report it but I think reporting it amounts to nothing.
I've also noticed that if I ever click on something on the msn home page, the next day I'm inundated with more spam. It's so annoying. -

It's getting worse so maybe Microsoft should hire some of these spam bots because they are MUCH smarter than you are!!!!!

I'm reporting this AGAIN for the 5th time in a month! Rules that I have had in place for a while and even the new ones I have set up ARE NOT WORKING! I am still getting spam **** in my In box. I've set up rules to delete things automatically and nothing is being deleted. Yes, we all know how to set up the rules but something has changed on your end, not ours. We ALL will continue to complain about this until you do something about this. Maybe we should all start forwarding these emails to you guys! Then you will know what its like to have something not work that was working before. fix this ****!

The spam river continues. You're clearly not doing anything about it, nor are you responding to the over 400 complaints from last week or the 100 complaints now. May the fleas of 1,000 camels infest each and every one you that fails to stop the garbage spam emails.
