"empty folder" option on inbox is dangerous
please disable the "empty folder" option when right clicking on inbox
“Empty folder” does have a confirmation dialog box.

The proximity of these two options is extremely dangerous, especially on the Inbox. It is great that a confirmation appears when you click the empty folder option, but it really should be located elsewhere because of the irreversible damage it could cause if someone isn't paying attention.
The "Empty Folder" button is very dangerous, especially since that's where the "New Message" button used to be. I vote that that button is demoted in some way to reduce the risk of accidentally making this operation.

What a stupid idea to hVe this button without a confirmation check box
Relocate "Empty Folder" icon as prominent icon within "Inbox" folder probably to an ellipse sub-icon. Certainly useful for other folders such as "Junk Email" but having it as prominent icon on Inbox seems to be a recipe for disaster.
can not send and reseve emails
You put the incredibly destructive "Empty Folder" button which can delete your entire Inbox- right next to the "New Message" button.....
Seriously?! Reminds me of this old space combat video game where the console had 2 big red buttons - one to fire, one for self destruct.

I a world full of horrible ideas, this takes the cake. You got pressure over the past couple of years by people wanting a way to easily delete multiple e-mails.
So ... your solution is to provide something where we can all accidentally delete our entire inbox without a similarly easy way to restore it by putting this wonderful button where everyone that uses your service is accustomed to finding the a button to create a new e-mail.
You've shown you're good at caving to peer pressure by putting this horrible little button in. Let's see if you'll do that again - read the comments here from the past month, wake up and smell what you're shoveling and fix this ASAP.
Whoever thought this was a good idea should not be trusted with anything of value. Extremely shortsighted. Can you tell yet that you've made a lot of peoples lives harder because you didn't properly vet this?
If not - here's your wake up call.
Rather then remove the option, why not make the user have to confirm with an alert/warning that must have a box checked then the user has to click a button that says Confirm after 5 seconds go by?
Please remove the 'Empty folder' button from the inbox toolbar. There is just too much potential for user error, and it is difficult to undelete thousands of accidentally deleted messages.

EMPTY FOLDER option for inbox on outlook.com is a problem. I have twice accidentally hit that button and had all my inbox email transferred to deleted folder.
The "empty folder" and "mark all as read" buttons are terrible (and extremely dangerous). Please let us remove them. I don't want to accidentally delete all my emails, or mark all of them as read as this is how I keep track of what I need to do.

PLEASE remove the "empty folder" button from the inbox. I accidentally clicked this thinking I was in the junkmail folder and almost had a heart attack... I immediately cancelled. I will NEVER nuke my inbox. This button is absurd, please remove it.
please remove "empty folder" dangerous and mostly useless link on inbox
I am experiencing a glitch or what I hope is a glitch. Over 900 emails were taken out of my inbox and placed in my deleted folder. There is no undo button for this or even a select all button that will put them back in my inbox. The select all button only allows me to delete them. Even when this was happening I couldn't stop it.

what the **** have you done to this Email. I accidently deleted my INBOX emails instead of deleting some other box. NOW HOW DO I RECOVER IT? ALL STUPID WEBPAGES. GOOD OLD DAYS WE COULD RECOVER ANYTHING...
Don't have "empty folder" on the inbox...it's crazy
I DO NOT!!!!! like the new "Empty Folder" button on the inbox. It caused me to delete everything in it thinking it was my just mail.
This happened to me today. I must have accidentally clicked "Empty Folder" while in my Sent folder. I was going to delete my Deleted Items but fortunately noticed there were items that didn't belong there. I had to highlight everything using Shift and Page Down to restore as "Select All" removes the Restore option. Terrible design.

It's too easy to accidentally click "Empty folder" when I'm looking at my Inbox, which I, personally, will never want to completely empty.
Remove Empty Folder tab in Inbox completely. It is too easily clicked.
I'm now running late today for a very important appointment, as I accidentally clicked Empty Folder in my Inbox, so I now have to wait for hundreds of emails to be restored so I can find the info I need for today!
Putting this tab in the inbox folder in such a prominent, easily accessible place as well, is an absolute disaster of an idea...
