Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated
20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.

Please block all email coming from .de. I am getting 40+ junk email a day from various addresses that end in .de.
If microsoft just allowed us to make rules to our junk mail, more than 90% of my spam would be rerouted to trasah smh. Fix this.

I think Microsoft GREED is getting in the way of customers - they just don't care anymore since they don't have real competition, so they really don't give anything for free
Junk email that keeps coming back even when put on block list. This just recently started happening. Why can't Microsoft stop this spam. They had it stopped once before when this was happening now it's back.
When will this inundation of junk email in my spam folder stop? It has been a couple months now and the amount of junk mail coming in is outrageous. I have never had this big a problem like these last few months. Is there absolutely no filtering being done by Outlook/Hotmail? I have more important things to do than spend a half hour removing all this garbage that should be automatically blocked with proper software. Not to mention you are knowingly allowing dangerous emails access to your users accounts without a care in the world of stopping it. Very disappointed in your support after all these years. Not willing to take this much long for fear of being hacked or worse!

2084 Junk Mails in 1.5 weeks
please update your SPAM filters!! I got 2084 SPAM emails in less than 2 weeks!!

It was getting stupid but now it's getting worse. Multiple emails from obviously not real addresses.
And whats the point of having rules if it only works on the inbox?
If I could block specific subjects for junk aswell, 75% of my junk emails would disappear instantly.
I just can't manage the amount of spam I'm getting now. I think I'll have to switch to gmail
I received a notice today that my complaint about SPAM ending up in my INBOX has been merged with this complaint about the SPAM in the Junk Mail box.
If anyone can explain why this has happened, it would be great to hear the reason. Spam is supposed to go into the JUNK Mail box - that is what is was designed for!
SPAM being directed to the INBOX is a major problem, or am I wrong?
These are two very different problems .... or not??
'email@example.com'. Is this REAL? What kind of address is this? And I need Alaskan Salmon? Constantly getting garbage like this, plus EBD oil, meet women from various countries, ad nauseum. Blocked this stuff so many times, my mouse melted down.

You have a big security problem. You are allowing senders access to all of my email addresses, not just the one I am using for them to reoly to. This means all of my email addresses have been compromised and I have been getting junk mail (300+) every day to every email address I have.
You also should not allow these junk senders access to attachments, like my bank statements, that I have attached to my replies. Hover over my name and you will see what I saw...the actual bank stmt sent. Also do not have a LinkedIn account, but there is my name showing "multiple" entries when I hover over my name in a junk email sent to me.
This lack of security/privacy is dangerous.
Why can't Microsoft stop all the spam with origin addresses like firstname.lastname@example.org
Here we go again. I am never allowed to Block junk mail from Fight Tinnitus Now, Real Deal Time and other junk mail that mentions Seniors or Health. WHY NOT?!!!!!!!
way too many junk emails. Along withthe block button not functioning after being restored.
Way more interested in the cosmetic appearance and adding in non essential linkedin contact link than being attentive to the junk email situation. Tuely messed with and broke feature that worked well many moons ago.

Too many phishing emails classified as normal emails. I'm getting way too many phishing emails in my focused inbox, because the sender is adding a legitimate domain email like "email@example.com" or "firstname.lastname@example.org" in CC but the actual email comes from weird email domains like "juuntos.net". These are usually sent with high importance and it show up in my focused inbox. I've been reporting a lot of these emails as phishing as most of these look like Apple account's standard unlock your account messages but lead to a different website when clicked on the link or button. Even after reporting a lot of these emails such emails are still being put in my focused inbox instead of junk mail. Please rectify this as soon as possible as the frequency of such emails increased a lot.
lifedating-223413.appspot.com is becoming an issue. EVERYTHING from them shouldn't just be blocked, but not even reach our junk folder. Please set up a rule at the server level to not allow this domain to go through, so it doesn't reach junk mail. OR, allow the end user to run rules on the junk email folder.
Why has junk mail increased exponentially with Hotmail in the last 6 weeks? I get 200+ junk emails daily, I block them, and every day, I get the same emails with the same subjects? Previously, I might get 10 a day. I will leave Hotmail if this continues, and I've had a Hotmail account since 1998.
And just like others have posted, I regularly get my kids' soccer communications (SHOULD BE IN MY INBOX) in my junk folder. When you get 200 a day, why check it. My son's practice ended early the other night, and I didn't know, bc the message went to my junk folder. What the heck?!
For the love of all the is good, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE block EVERYTHING from newsletter@*.*

Do you all even try to stop anything from coming into our junk mail folders? Seems like you just allow anyone to send messages and you can't seem to block the obviously misconstructed e-mail addresses. If you don't want to do your job, then allow us - THE USERS - to set up our own SPAM filters on the JUNK MAIL FOLDER (and allow us to BLOCK ENTIRE DOMAINS). I am getting a sh*tload of e-mails from Supprt@*.de where they change the value of the * so blocking one address still allows every other combination in. If we could block *.*.de that would solve that problem. DO BETTER OR HIRE PEOPLE THAT WILL
Totally agree - I'm getting about 200 emails a day, ok they go into Junk but I have to look through the headings just in case something that isn't junk has gone in there. It's getting beyond a joke. I think I will have to close down my email account and open a different one.
