Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated
20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.
doesn't matter how much you block sites they keep coming back. I went into settings and cleared a load of subscriptions that I hadn't signed up for on Monday. I cleared them all again yesterday and they are back today. Some wont unsubscribe because they are fake websites and so I blocked them but they wont go away. Was away for a week on holiday and had 75 spam emails that were from people I had previously blocked.

Just a comment of gratitude for the junk-filter that you do. My Junk Email-folder is utterly disgusting! I would prefer to get rid of these, but it do shows how well the filter actually works, given they are not in my inbox. THANK YOU!
it is getting so bad i am thinking about switching to email. Junk mail with google this week = 4, with outlook = 120. You know its junk either you are making a buck off of it or you simply dont care and just ignore it. At the end of the the day, you are paying to process all of this and store it on your servers. Doesnt cost me a thing but time to delete it.
I have the same issue as all the comments below. Why am I not able to block junk emails anymore?
I'd also like to point out. Why is it that my gmail account has had ZERO junk mail in all the time I've had it. I have NEVER received any spam emails in gmail, yet Outlook send me at least 40 spam emails per day. Why doesn't Outlook use ANY filters?? I don't give my email out to anyone except friends and work associates and I never subscribe to anything, so what's the deal?

yes as of today i cant block any more it brings a popup at the bottom it is useless fix it please
Why am I not able to block junk emails? All of a sudden, I am getting umpteen million junk mails. Why isn't Microsoft doing something about this. This is very frustrating having to delete all these same junk mail being sent to me everyday. Most of it is ***** too! Disgusting!
What the heck is up with all the spam lately, Microsoft? It started a few weeks ago and it gets worse every day. It comes in with the same subject line but different domains each time, so blocking does nothing.
Please DO something!!!!!
I kept reaceiving about 200 junk emails. I have changed my password a few times.
Today I am unable to block them. It simply say that they will be removed in 14 to 20 days!!
Now I have to spend about 3o minutes to try and unblock one by one.
I don`t think this new Outlook is better.
********* microsoft for all my spam. Now I can block it. Why?

The amount of junk emails I receive is out of hand. Even getting them in foreign languages. I spend to much time out of my day reporting them but nothing is ever done about it There must be some way you can stop this. Also, legit emails going into junk
Too much **** in JUNK folder and using BLOCK doesn't help. Will be switching provider if you cant stop this.
I just don't understand why this email is in my inbox. What about this says legit?
Lots of emails that are not junk go to my Junk Mail. I flag it not junk and it STILL goes there.. SO frustrating!!

Same here. I would like the ability to BLOCK a sender and/or domain COMPLETELY, not just send it to my junk folder. I've got tons of garbage coming from appspot.com and I am sick of it blowing up my Junk folder. It's making it impossible for me to scan the junk folder for false positives.
I wish an ATTORNEY WOULD FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT
Or all Outlook/Hotmail customers switch to another
Until this happens Microsoft will continue this practice

Pitiful, but perhaps not surprising, that there's no response from Microsoft on all of the comments below.
Adding a domain to a blocking list DOES NOT WORK.

Block feature on Outlook doesn't work.
Subscriptions can't be turned off
I can NO LONGER BLOCK emails. When I click block, it shows me some new tab where I can call the mail junk, but not block - this is true from inbox folder and junk folder. Why can I not control the settings of what I want to block? Why do I have hundreds of eamils addresses that I am "subscribed to" that I never subscribed to or opted into? Please reply to my email with helpful suggestions of what I can do to get rid of subscriptions and block the spam.
"Plus whoever thought of the subscription idea MUST BE FIRED! So if an email goes into the spam folder and if it has a subscription tag, then automatically subscribe the user to that mailing list! Whose great idea was this? Worst. Idea. Ever! Unsubscribing will flag your email account as a valid account which means more email spamming. " Totally Agree!!!!! This is horrible!!!!
