Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated
20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.
Why doesn't Microsoft just block the domain foreing8.xyz? I don't know what changed on their end, but I suddenly started receiving spam a few days ago in my Outlook.com email account. It's all coming from this specific domain but with different subject lines and content. I know that this solution can easily be done because I used to work in the technology field, and this is something that we often had to do.
the spam folder should be reserved for non-obvious items.
there is too much spam that is *SO* *OBVIOUSLY* *SPAM* as to not even be worth showing in a spam folder.
i should never look in the spam folder and find 3 messages in a day from "N E T F L I X Team" or n(euro symbol)tflix that i can mouseover to see the email address is some long weird thing, and a subject about account reset statement.
or the "FedEx" "Google" "Walgreens" common name brands without matching legit email domains as well, seem pretty obvious.
for extra security help at least the spam folder should always show the alleged name, from, and reply (if different) addresses to make it super obvious that yes these are fake.
but really though, all the pharmacy ED pills and lonely russian girls emails **** should be automatically blocked and removed for everyone, never shown in spam folder.
maybe someday the spam folder will catch up with AOL, Google, and Yahoo functionality.
Spam filters is 99.9% false positives with no way to turn that feature off.
It also doesn't learn when I mark emails as Not Junk and keeps sending future emails from the same senders to the spam folder

MSN.com ,has become the ****, **** carrier of the Internet. Hundreds of personal **** invites & messages a day. Blocking them is time consuming ,& at least a joke . Same ones later that day & again the next day. Between Spam (Junk), 7 **** , **** ,amount 98% of mail. You should be Proud of Your Managemen
t. Great Work.
Please fix the spam email issue. I can't sift through so much junk to find real emails! MY PROSTATE ISN'T THE SIZE OF A LEMON AND I DON'T NEED A TACTICAL KNIFE
From one day to another started receiving e-mail in junk/spam folder. Added e-mail to 'trusted e-mails' list. Still receiving them in spam/junk folder. Have to search junk box everyday to make sure i dont miss important e-mails.
I've posted this link to every possible MS Support email and form. It's hard to believe they're behind this and not looking a complaints.
Anybody else tired of marking everything in the junk folder as phishing, going to the deleted items and marking as blocked or just deleting, and then yet having to go and delete one more time from the items that can be recovered from the deleted folder? And then it takes time for the items to finally disappear completely.
20 year user here and can't deal with all the junk mail! 1000's a week! What is happening? Get a hold on it.
Same here .. over 100 spam emails a day. It's ridiculous. And there's always one or two not spam.
Please can you stop e-mails that are adverts, and also senders that are blocked from going straight to my Inbox - I must get over 50 spams a day and it's getting to the point when I am considering changing platform. Rules that are set up for Junk DO NOT WORK
I added the appspot.com as a blocked domain and it appears to be blocking all of these. These spammers use this domain to generate tons of offensive emails with different qualifiers. Blocking the entire domain works also.
Blocking spam is back AFTER I've spent several hours transferring my business emails to another new email address because you took away the blocking of spam! Real nice of you !!!!!

272 SPAM emails in junk folder in 4 days.
What's worse is that emails that I have marked as safe and should be going to my inbox are still going to the JUNK folder, which means I have to go through these.
Getting ridiculous now. Ive reported the addresses, yet still receive SPAM from these domains.
As of Octoboer-November 2019, I have been getting way too much spam e-mails. I havent deleted the spam folder in the last 4 days and I have 400 spam e-mails in my junk. Occassionally some make it to my regular e-mail folder, but that is not a big issue. The problem is going through hundreds of spam e-mails to find the ones that were mistakenly put there. Please solve this spam-mess.
2000 junk mail within weeks. get a better filter and don't even let the super obvious get sent to us at all. also allow a 1 button "block domain" button in the junk folder

Why would ANYONE sign up for ad-free outlook when MS does such an atrocious job of battling spam??????
@monckscastle, it started in earnest about two months ago, though some saw it sooner, some a little later. So far, no one that I've seen has been able to reach the right party in Microsoft to look into the issue.
It's very much as if they decided to stop filtering known-spam. Oddly, I haven't noticed that they've done the same for Office 365, which is interesting because they're both run on Exchange Online.
OMG what happened to the spam filter? Nothing is being blocked as of 12/16/19
