Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated
20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.
Dear MS Staff:
Not only can you not solve the problem with SPAM emails or blacklist these SPAM email domains. Now we cannot delete these emails from the recycle bin.
That was perfect. And incredible "technical support", guys. That for sure.
In view of the "great technical service of MS", it will be necessary to find another email service.
PS: "Sorry" for my extremely bad english.
Drowning in SPAM!! Gmail does not have this issue, Outlook is just over flowing with SPAM!! Blocking, marking as spam etc does not help. Gmail can do it, Outlook up your efforts!!!

You are receiving this email because we are updating the Microsoft data base, your account must be put up-to date and verified!
Update now within 48 hours to continue using our service
I am super-unhappy with Hotmail for the past several months. Have you gotten lazier in your filtering out spam? I can't believe the trash that comes through that is so obviously spam, and yet you put it in my inbox anyway. Not happy at all, please do your job!
Update those spam filters. I am getting junk from the same domains that I've listed before. Fix it!
Way too much obvious spam and phishing junk emails on Outlook/Hotmail. Gmail has almost none. Why can't MSFT fix this. It is an embarrassment that the guys that build Windows OS can't get the junk out of an email platform.
Blocked mail still coming through, long time normal emails getting blocked now. Junk mail folder is a joke. there is no consistancy. Bye Felicia......what is wrong with Outoook. did you lose the budget war with Microsoft?

It really makes me sad how downhill Hotmail has fallen. I have used my hotmail account over 40 years but you are the worst at blocking nasty spam mail and just trying to manage my acct I feel like a need a college degree in email. Shame on you. KISS...keep it simple stupid
Recently started getting a minimum of 100 spam emails a day. See forums complaining about this for months now. Is Microsoft going to do anything about this? I've been with them since the 90's but this is getting out of control!

is there a way to download all my emails so I can move over to google or another service that actually cares about the customers?
Over the past 4 or so months my account has been inundated with spam emails. I've tried blocking, reporting phishing, setting deletion rules, unsubscribing to accounts that I never subscribed to, but nothing works to reduce the overload of trash. I've had this account for many years and never dealt with anything like this. It is apparent MS is overriding my rules and routing spam according it's own. But, this is hindering deletion of spam that I've tagged. Also, some safe-marked mail is going directly to the deleted folder. I've read about similar and exact complaints for months, but it seems MS has no intention of fixing the spam problem. I know you (MS) are capable of rectifying these issues, but haven't. So, if you want us all to close our "free" accounts and move on to another service, just say so in a direct message.
my email was hacked long time ago and i managed to recover it. but i'm getting a lot of spam emails now, and i mark them as spam but no use.
what to do ..... ???

I always mark the junk emails that come to my inbox (which there are many, 6-7 a day) as junk or phishing to train my spam filter. It hasn't worked. The junk filter for outlook is terrible.
Does Microsoft never get tired of spam "feedback?" Update those filters to include @adidas.com!
Just for fun, I decided not to delete my junk folder for one month
and received in my junk folder 1,448 E-mails with numbered addresses such as this one <info.rBDX9mHyaD07@papgad.com> amongst a good many others that are all junk mail or spam asking me to unsubscribe from them if I no longer wished to receive e-mails from them, Why should I have to unsubscribe from these junk mails when I have never subscribed to them in the first place?
as for these so-called filters that are set up in Outlook
they are as useless as can possibly be (they do not work at all)
every feature that Outlook has for stopping spam are useless
I received as many as 100 plus junk e-mails a day and have unsubscribed and blocked over a thousand of these spammers over the years just to see my junk mailbox fill up faster with every passing month.
must I stop using Outlook as my e-mail or are you going to find a solution to this problem that we all seem to have using your services?
if nothing is done to deal with this obvious problem then I believe it is in our best interest to go to a different service provider for our e-mails and stop using your services altogether

Why bother putting so many wonderful features in Outlook if you are going to make people HATE using your services because we are drowng in spam. I get more spam than legitimate email, 20-to-1 easily. If I wasn't dreading the headache it would cause me to move all of my personal communications to GMail, I would pull the **** plug. It still may happen. which is sad considering how long I have held my hotmail.com account. It is 2020 Microsoft, this should not be something we are still dealing with. Are you making money from the people you are allowing bombard me? Yes, realize most of it is automatically routed to my SPAM folder, but if you know it is spam, and what 5-year old would not know, then why don't you block it rather than make me dump dozens or hundreds of spam every day???? ********, please wake up. This is hugely frustrating; people have work to do and lives to live. This is like making me clean my toilet twice a day of your ****.
Spammers are sending tons of messages with non-ASCII characters (like ?) in the sender's address. I can't create a rule to automatically classify them as junk because Outlook won't let me use a non-ASCII character as part of a sender's email address.
spam / junk not working, receiving spam after address was reported. Also, addresses moved to inbox still appear as junk
All my spam ends in @adidas.com; please fix that! so tired of all the junkmail. Even Yahoo mail is doing better than you guys right now.
Since few months, I encounter the same problem. So please Stop (Microsoft engineers) to tell people and find normal to put the sender to the trusted list or to put it in your contact. I can understand that some emails still go on the spam even if they are not but when 80% of my emails which are in spam are not spam. And in more most of them come from big account (VMware, OVH, Ikea, Mediamarkt, and even MICROSOFT) There is a problem with this antispam (and since few months). The algorithm doesn’t work, and Microsoft don't want to correct it. It is the 5th year that I have the office 365 and before we never had encounter that!
I contacted the support of Microsoft and they took the people for idiot and they don't care about it!
I told them:
- 80% in my spam are not spam - reply it is normal the system work fine you should put it in the trusted site.
Really, 80%!!!! and it is me who should put the emails in the trusted sender...
- Hey, the emails come from big accounts even Microsoft - reply This email don't come from Microsoft and it is a true spam and probably the others email from big account also. No luck for him I retrieve the email from Microsoft, it is a newsletter that I receive from Microsoft for the certification and this since years... I sent it to him, and you know what ?? no reply, no excuses for this point. Just you should put the emails in trusted sender! Keep taking people for idiot...
I am very disappointed I will retain that Microsoft put a system in place which does not work and that they rest on the users to correct what they fail to do. As soon as my subscription is finished, I return to google. Its really a shame we paid for this service !
