Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated
20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.

The amount of spam I received went down drastically in the last few months and I thought Microsoft finally got on top of the problem.
I was SO wrong. Maybe the spammers got COVID, and now they're back in full force.
Yesterday and today I'm being inundated AGAIN with the SAME spammers and the SAME subjects using the SAME email formats:
from@(different domain every time)
info@(different domain every time)
newsletter.(numbers or letters)@(different domain every time)
office@(different domain every time)
PLEASE do something about this ****. I've tried many ways to block this stuff but nothing works. But I shouldn't have to block it because it shouldn't get into my or anyone else's mail in the first place.
This thread is over 1 1/2 years old and people are still registering the same complaints. What are you doing?

Still getting a lot of explicit spam mail and scams despite the rules I've set to auto-delete and my blocking senders. I don't have this problem with other free email providers or my ISP email account.

NationalConcealedAcademy.com <fXmZKXy@datapound.club> and someone needs to take note that carrying a gun in the UK is not legal. I live in the UK and now sick of Outlook allowing spam emails not only in my JUNK folder but also been allowed to get into my INBOX.
You complain to an adviser to be told "our tech teams are doing everything they can to change to deal with this matter" six years I an many others have complained about this matter and it get worse. I use Gmail and get no SPAM emails where Outlook anything up to 20 SPAM emails daily that is no joke.
I have started emailing companies such as Paypal, Asda, Morrisons ect ect telling them their trading names are being used to try and scam people and that Outlook are doing sweet bugger all to stop it.
I am also in contact with the police and my local MP to try and see what they can do. If it was me and knowing that my work force was rubbish at doing their job they would soon be looking for a new one.
Get it sorted NOW before you all at Outlook/Microsoft will be looking for a new job as users are sick of your lies.
No one takes the time to express congratulations to Microsoft for making the whole world feel so useless. They are allowing spammers to rule without providing users with the necessary tools to stop them for being nothing more than a total annoyance. I would like to congratulate Microsoft for being so able to show us thatchy are the boss, and that we have to let them rule. I understand now that we have no say, and that what is good fir Microsoft is good for the planet. There are thousands of comments in this world where just a few dare express an opinion, and yet that changes nothing. Long live the king.

Really getting sick of the amount of blatant phishing attempts getting through. All it is netflix and paypal...message source seems to indicate they are using google servers. I'm going to have to change my email address for those accounts so I can filter this stuff....why is this dragging on for SO long?

Why give me the option of reporting Scams and Phishing emails when you do nothing with the information.
junk filter could stand an update, any address that contains random keybashing is 99.9% chance to be SPAM or worse, an attempt at phising. i would aslo like to see the option to block entire domains reteurn.
It's quite **** simple Microsoft. Allow the user to block Domains traffic.
It's no different than a firewall not allowing traffic coming from X.Y. Z from a macro perspective.

I have the same problem ! I am fed up with that mail service. It's unebearable. Plus the helpdesk never answers my questions. There is no real solutions as hackers and other firms are able to get my address without asking... I would like to get all my e-mails back so I can change completely and quit Outlook services.
What has happened to your spam filtering these days? Some of the most glaring spam (e.g. subject line: "###Bitcoin_Neeews!@@$$!") is now ending up in my focused inbox. It never used to be like this. Gmail calls, perhaps??
spam - still the same. The domain that sends me email for couple of years is as of today by Microsoft decision SPAM.
this datapound.club **** has been coming through for a long time - how long will it take you to figure out how to stop it???????
Epic fail with spam. You guys surely realize that all the 'unsuccessful sync' activity in our security history is why we're getting bombarded with spam right? they aren't actually trying to sync, they're just verifying email addresses exist. Figure out how to stop Vietnam, the Ukraine, Thailand .. etc. etc. from trying to sync our emails and you'll put a huge dent in this all-of-a-sudden spam- guaranteed. but what do I know, this is why Microshaft makes the big bucks- FIGURE IT OUT.
The amount of junk coming from datapound.club is awful. Some of it is truly offensive. I have tried to unsubscribe and mark as junk, but they still keep coming. This needs to stop and be prevented EARLY.

The spam filtering is below criticism. It doesn't meaningfully filter. I repeatedly get identical emails that I've reported at junk. And I get important mail from people that are on my contacts list into the junk mail box so I now always look through all my junk mail. What's the point?
I've long thought that the service just keeps getting worse. But this junk mail hassle is too much. The only reason I'm sticking with Microsoft is because of the hassle of changing email addresses now. But that excuse is wearing thin.
I've used hotmail/outlook since the 90's so it's a lot of work to fix. But I'm going to schedule a weekend to do it now. Thanks a lot.
