Too much junk / spam: Junk folder becoming to inundated
20 year user moving to new platform. Flooded my junk box with advertisements now I have to search for any emails that may be of value to me that don't automatically filter to my inbox. It's a shame.
i agree, can't click once to get people

I got 100 phising email daily with address senior@<random number>.com and support@<random number>.de
This never happened with the old hotmail.
Reporting as phising email also didn't work, blocking also useless since they use random numbers address.
Can this be fixed ?
FYI there will not be a sufficient workaround to this. The only option that Outlook/Outlook.com support will offer is to increase your spam filter settings, however all that does is just redirect all suspected spam to your Junk folder - which in turn will eventually include real emails. You'll get to the point where you have to sift through hundreds/thousands of junk emails to find those 1-2 real emails so they aren't lost forever.
You are not able to block entire TLDs, so you can only rely on blocking individual domains. However, Outlook has a limit of (I believe) 1,024 domains that you can block. Since most of these spam messages are from spoofed domains, you cannot block them all.
For instance, I just saw over 20 emails from the same spoofed domain. If I were to block all 20 of these domains, I would still get 20 from newly spoofed domains, but I would have taken up 20 of my 1,024 block limit.
The only solution that will solve this is to switch to a different email provider. Changing my email associated with every single account/membership/website is going to be an enormous pain **********, but if I stick with Outlook, the quantity of junk I receive daily will just increase and increase.
We are merely weeks away from 2020, and Microsoft is light years behind Gmail in this capacity. It's absolutely shameful. Get your **** together, Microsoft.

New Outlook is nothing new. MS=Multitudes of SPAM. Until they battle the spam deluge, I won't even consider them as worthy of my radar

I am getting over 200 junk emails every day on my hotmail account. Even if I block them all there is no change as the unique email addresses are used only once to flood me with junk. I need to be able to control this or find a different email platform. What can I do and WHAT can you do to correct this situation. There are literallly hundreds of subscriptions on my email account that I never subscribed to nor can eliminate and unsubscribe from as it is not allowed. This needs to be corrected ...
There is a clearly something going on with a few domains: "Support@*.de" and "*@*.dosinfo" -- unfortunately, there is no mechanism for using regular expressions on emails and/or rules in a flexible enough pattern. Clearly, someone is generating domains on-the-fly because they look like hash keys. They all look like normal marketing emails.
The return-to and reply-to are different. The unsubscribe buttons appear to be phishing attempts.
This could use some concerted attention. Thank you.

It seems every way I try to keep the junk folder clean there is some specific reason I cannot do it. I cannot run rules against the junk folder. I cannot block email address that contain only specific parts so when spammers just change their domain the blocking does not good. If I create a rule off of a specific email address I can run it but as soon as I edit it to say contains only a part of that email, the run option disappears. I only block domains. I cannot bock something if part of that domain is in the domain so again as spammers just constantly add random domains, I am left with litteraly just under 1000 emails a day in my junk folder, which I have to sift through because I cannot turn off spam filtering and Hotmail thinks some legitimate emails should go to spam so I have to hunt for them to make sure I didn't miss something important. It is almost like they do this on purpose. What is the end game here?
We should be able to block certain domain addresses. I get hundreds of emails from .de or .dosinfo addresses everyday. Yes, they are in my junk folder. But people still need to check that inbox for emails that we need. Everyday we are forced to go through these useless bot sent ads to find the 1 or 2 actual messages we need. Until they create a fix to this, I have started to switch my accounts to another email address.

Outlook still has done NOTHING to fix junk Email, after all these years. What good is a vote, if you ignore the vote.
I'M STILL BEING SPAMMED AND YOU'RE STILL NOT REPLING!
I am getting almost 500 junk messages per day. I can't just delete them without a quick scan because once in a blue moon a real message will hit there. But if you do the math, this is almost a QUARTER OF A MILLION junk messages a year. Microsoft must be able to come up with a better solution to this. Of note, I use my gmail address just about as much (on websites, etc.) and I get <10 spam messages per day there.

Please fix this ASAP. Contacted Tech support and they want me to go through every junk email and mark as safe sender.
I'd make a comment here, but I'm guessing either Microsoft doesn't read them or they've created a rule where our emails go directly to deleted items. I honestly think they don't check because their inbox is overloaded with SPAM and they don't know how to create filters. Seriously! How come I get emails without an address? Anybody else out there have the same problem?
Working on moving to a new email system as you cannot keep spammers from sending me 50-75 emails per day. Blocking them doesn't work or help. You need to fix your system. I've been a user for 20 years, but won't be much longer.

The SPAM filter doesn't work! Why can't we block domains? I am getting SPAM from Germany, blocking *.de would stop all of them but you don't have that ability with the web-browser based outlook. It also allows blocked addresses through and basically doesn't work.
Honestly.. Fix your spamfilter! Bitcoin, Russian woman, and so on.. How hard can it be?
Why am I receiving more than 50 spam mails a day? Time to lose my e-mail account which I have had for almost 20 years. Outlook must be giving my e-mail address out to spammers, I have no other reason to believe different. Your settings don't work as spam still gets through.
Horrendous ! The amount of junk mail each day getting through is beyond acceptable. No matter how many times I block or report these junk emails it has made no difference, I I just receive more and more ! Why provide a Blocking system if it doesn't work.. Please do something about it !!
358 JUNK mails so far just today. Makes it impossible to find even 1 misdirected message. Definitely going to a different email server! And 70% of those emails all have URLs ending in '.de'. Never have I had any dealings with anyone outside this country.
Another 70+ SPAM EMAILS from Germany in ONE DAY! How much longer do I keep reporting them as "Phishing" and then blocking them? No matter what I do - YOUR SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING!
