Hotmail/Outlook- Mail > Subscriptions > I can not delete newsletters I did not subscribe to
Under my settings>mail>subscriptions - there is a ton of newsletters/junk email/spam that I never added and can not delete. I don't know how they got there and how can i remove them.
No matter what I've tried to delete these it doesn't work - spammers latched themselves this way?
We’ve finished the development work and will be rolling out a new version of the subscription manager over the next few weeks!
You may see that your subscriptions are deleted and the subscription manager is reset. We’re doing this so that we can purge all of the incorrect subscriptions from your list.

They did fix it but one odd thing is that after you delete a subscription the address added to the 'Lists you have unsubscribed from', which seems ok except the only way to manage that list is to block that email address, but maybe you don't want to block it permanently. They should have a delete menu so you can delete without blocking. But it's great to be able to police the subscription list and get rid of all those bogus subscriptions.

They've fix it and that's great.
Now I can delete any subscription I wish.
Hope this cuts down on spam.
no happy if you do not fix it im taking my browsing & emails to gmail or yahoo or something that is safer to use
not recommending Hotmail to anyone
it was good for years now its a disaster
please remove these spam newsletters junk etc from our subscriptions! it should be a lot easier to flag and delete and block all this junk. not one click at a time for each spam email address that mysteriously was added to our subscriptions without our knowledge or consent. thank you!
Well, this is typical... complaint in February 2019 was answered in August 2019! What a pile of **** Outlook has become. And if you believe for one second they can't fix this then you deserve each other. They don't fix it because the revenue stream will stop... duh ! Move on don't waste your life trying to fix or live with this ****.
waiting , waiting. I have tried blocking them but they are still there.
Emails in junk mail that I didn't even click on appeared in my subscriptions. I blocked it, deleted my junk email, and then a whole list of accounts showed up in my subscriptions.

I am also getting many junk emails which I have not subscribed. The biggest problem is I have to check the junk folder whether any important mail has not gone into junk. Could Microsoft help us in this matter. This is now becoming a huge problem for users like me.

I too have too many subscriptions, I blocked them all twice, they are still showing this morning. I get 70 junk emails a day, If this is not fixed I will close this 10 year old email account.
no encuentro mi correo hotmail
RIGHT ON! It's truly IDIOTIC that you just INCLUDE ALLLLL those junk files to our subscriptions! WHY. would. you. do that? Makes NO sense; no matter how you look at it.

FWIW, I want the ability to BLOCK this garbage.
I don't want it moved automatically to the Junk folder, where I still have to deal with it.
I don't want it moved automatically to the Trash folder, where I still have to deal with it.
I never asked for the Subscriptions "feature" (note the quotation marks), and it should be removed.
Restore top-level Domain blocking as well, most notably "icu", and I think most of this problem (that some "Engineer" that actually got paid to do) would go away.

Roll on September, BTW Which year????
Another example of a "solution" causes, rather than fixes a problem.
Lovely. So THIS you'll work on, but you're IGNORING the THOUSANDS of people complaining about the FAILED block feature??? Get the priorities straight! SPAM/SCAM emails in our junk folders have basically QUADRUPLED but you take away our ability to BLOCK them. FIX THE ISSUE NOW! Not in September, NOW!

The spam that gets through is absolutely ridiculous!!! Prior to the expiration of the "Windows Live Hotmail Plus" which did the job beautifully for $19.99 per year. They simply did away with it. No warning and no choice. NOTHING has fixed this issue. They have the ability to fix this and are deliberately choosing not to do it. Very frustrating!!

SAME HERE UGHHHHHHHHHHH! I now have hundreds of subscriptions I did not subscribe to. Once I unsubscribe a subscription Outlook simply moves it into a lower folder named: List's you've unsubscribed from" but I want it all deleted permanently and cleared out, PLEASE TELL ME HOW.
less and less **** works with outlook each day/ month... i hope these idiot s go bankrupt once everyone goes to gmail. at least gmail fixes their **** and their blocking works

Why is there a subscriptions list? What is its function? I cannot be working at all because over 90 percent of those listed are bogus and never signed up for. Why not just do away with the Subscriptions list?
