Hotmail/Outlook- Mail > Subscriptions > I can not delete newsletters I did not subscribe to
Under my settings>mail>subscriptions - there is a ton of newsletters/junk email/spam that I never added and can not delete. I don't know how they got there and how can i remove them.
No matter what I've tried to delete these it doesn't work - spammers latched themselves this way?
We’ve finished the development work and will be rolling out a new version of the subscription manager over the next few weeks!
You may see that your subscriptions are deleted and the subscription manager is reset. We’re doing this so that we can purge all of the incorrect subscriptions from your list.
It's September, where's the update????
This is the most annoying boondoggle MS has ever done.
I at least managed to do a thing about the spam from Appspot subdomains (and I did this BECAUSE of the "newsletter" spam subscription problem, as it alerted me of the common domains).
because Appspot is owned by Google (it's part of Google Cloud. anything hosted there is subject to their terms and conditions. the bots won't send to Gmail addresses for this reason), I set up a rule to automatically REDIRECT (not forward) any and all mail from addresses that end in appspot.com to google-cloud-compliance(at)google(dot)com, the mail will appear to have been sent there directly.
I may or may not have gotten a few of the bots hosted there shut down this way since some spam bots are now sending from .icu domains, which as I found out are ALL subject to nic.icu's ToS, and set a similar rule to deal with them as well
I am about to give up outlook! lost faith and super disappointed
Admit it, Microsoft. Since the MAJOR hack earlier this year, you have no idea how to prohibit the spam, unauthorized fake newsletter subscriptions and other issues, do you? Alternatively, you don't care. How about we start forwarding all this bloody shite to Bill Gates directly?
Outlook users are targeted by automatic SPAM generators.
Can't delete SPAM and subscriptions fast enough before they get added with another domain name! Not sure how they are able to add subscriptions automatically!!
Block and report functions are ineffective against robot spam generators!
Please please stop these from getting into user accounts in the first place! Don't want them to come into my Junk folder either!!

Creating automatic subscriptions for me from junk mail is just wrong. I get tons of mail from various addresses that end in appspot.com and agilisaurus.site - yet there is no way to create a rule to automatically delete any email ending with those words from the junk folder. The appspot.com creates up to 50 emails a day and changes the first words before appspot.com, for example dating392.appspot.com one day then datingnow.appspot.com the next. I want to be able to block any email address that ends in appspot.com but the email program does not allow that. Tried adding appspot.com to blocked senders and nothing happens.
I agree that it may be time to pull the curtain on this email address and move any valid email to another address.

Please allow option to delete all of these.
Okay, it’s September. Where is the fix?

Needs to have 'phishing' alert for the Spam subscriptions, in addition to me the user validating I want to add a subscription. Why is is also in the settings/Mail/Subscriptions when all other junk / safe lists is in Mail / Junk Mail. Having to click 'Save' for a web service and for it to only work 25% of the time is not good. A lot of work to fix this area.
block all the subcribe to create to the junk mail
comment récupérer mes dernier courriels de Hotmail.com et tous mes courriels que j'avais désirés de garder?
Subscriptions to SPAM mail added automatically with out my knowledge or confirmation.
I delete them every day but even more subscriptions added within few hours!
Please stop SPAM generators adding subscriptions to my account immediately.

And I thought I was the only one. A long-time customer about to switch to different email website. The volume of junk emails is alarming and just plain annoying. Fix the problem, please.
Hello Feedback. When I'm paying for a service\subscription I don't believe the provider is justified in spamming me with advertising. It's also greatly slowing down the performance of my inbox because I cannot type or do anything until the Ad has loaded.

This is NOT fixed. I spent an hour blocking each individual subscription this morning. New, similar ones reappeared within minutes and their junk emails with them. There must be a way to not allow subscriptions. How are these "people" inserting the subscription into my list? I rarely subscribe to anything.
Please allow us to block all of them at one time. Going through and clicking "block sender" for each individual message and having to click "ok" after each one is insane. Or rather, give us the ability to make rules that apply to junk mail folders.

They did fix it but one odd thing is that after you delete a subscription the address added to the 'Lists you have unsubscribed from', which seems ok except the only way to manage that list is to block that email address, but maybe you don't want to block it permanently. They should have a delete menu so you can delete without blocking. But it's great to be able to police the subscription list and get rid of all those bogus subscriptions.

They've fix it and that's great.
Now I can delete any subscription I wish.
Hope this cuts down on spam.
no happy if you do not fix it im taking my browsing & emails to gmail or yahoo or something that is safer to use
not recommending Hotmail to anyone
it was good for years now its a disaster
please remove these spam newsletters junk etc from our subscriptions! it should be a lot easier to flag and delete and block all this junk. not one click at a time for each spam email address that mysteriously was added to our subscriptions without our knowledge or consent. thank you!
