Hotmail/Outlook- Mail > Subscriptions > I can not delete newsletters I did not subscribe to
Under my settings>mail>subscriptions - there is a ton of newsletters/junk email/spam that I never added and can not delete. I don't know how they got there and how can i remove them.
No matter what I've tried to delete these it doesn't work - spammers latched themselves this way?
We’ve finished the development work and will be rolling out a new version of the subscription manager over the next few weeks!
You may see that your subscriptions are deleted and the subscription manager is reset. We’re doing this so that we can purge all of the incorrect subscriptions from your list.
STOP ADDING SUBSCRIPTIONS

There needs to be an option on the subscription page when all of the subscriptions on the page I never set up and they are all junk and spam emails. You need to get it set up to delete subscriptions on the subscriptions page. Why have a page that you have no control over.

CAN I PLEASE SELECT ALL AND UNSUBSCRIBE AT ONCE?

Why do rules not work on this? Used to be that you could make a rule that would delete emails that include "newsletter" in senders address.
If I could still do that and it worked it would resolve this. What did Microsoft do to ***** things up so much?

WHY THE LOUSY NEW DROP DOWN BOX OF PEOPLE TO EMAIL THAT IS NOT IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER?
AND WHY CAN I NO LONGER BLOCK PEOPLE IN MY JUNK EMAIL???
HMMMMM? BAD STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was getting up to 160 spam emails a day of a ****** nature. That's subsiding. But I still can't block spam emails. The block doesn't work. Why?
Bloody hope so! I'm removing subscriptions on a daily basis that keep getting added without my consent. I'm also being constantly spammed by contact@[RandomCD/7.com and contact@[RandomCD/5.com - How the **** do I stop this as they keep ramdomising the domain
Various spa,s from Appspot and Microsoft is not doing a thing
‘Today indeleted around 500 messages, I’m getting depressed already :(
Delete my message from yesterday, I'll post again. You clowns are either 1) Profiting off the spam, 2) Clueless about how to fix it, C) Don't care or D) All of the above. I go with D. I'll be the FTC will just love the 150 new spam messages I forwarded today, as well as my state attorney general's office.
Although I am in the UK, I am bombarded with daily spam from US sites. Cannot even delete individual "subscriptions" - to which I have NOT subscribed! - manually. Outlook needs to come up with a solution very quickly. Otherwise I shall shout down my Outlook Mail in favour of another mail application.
I reckon we need a Balance between those who make their living trying to sell things VIA emails / and those who appreciate the 'necessity' (?!) of the actions, BUT: want to very, very quickly remove the emails. It seems unfair to attempt to block other's efforts to make a living, but--once again--do consider making it VERY EASY to Delete some of these things...I looked at my Subscriptions list, and it would take me a hour or more to 'clean it out'...and, I daresay that it would be filled again soon...make it quick 'n easy to clean these Lists out...it is NO FUN to need to take so much time to do housekeeping!!!

phishing spam coming through with "Newsletter" with bot driven endings so can't just block one. Ending up in subscriptions without permissions. Getting hundreds per day. Frustrated!

I kept blocking new subscription addresses on a daily basis but new ones were being added, I contacted Microsoft and offered no help whatsoever, in the end I found a way of dealing with unwanted Subscriptions to my hotmail address: I set up an email address with gmail and stopped using hotmail. Result.

I cannot retrieve my previous account with outlook - every time I try to sign in it says my password or username is no good - takes me to Microsoft to certify that it is me - cannot sign in Microsoft - tells me password is incorrect , have to change password every time... having to go thru the whole process of reading those freaking unreadable freaking letters and finally they send me a code on my phone but when I try to enter this code in my previous account of outlook - it tells me again incorrect password. NOW _ HOW DO I CANCEL MY OUTLOOK ACCOUNT - TOO COMPLICATED FOR ME!
Well. I opened my outlook (then Hotmail) in 2005.
I think I may need to switch to some other site.
If it takes them 7 months, to do nothing, about a problem that causes thousands of their users to be spammed constantly by bots (And the subscription feature lets them know which accounts are active), then..
What can I do? They refuse to listen or do anything when we ask that the subscription feature is scrapped or made "Opt In".
I also have this issue, along with numerous SPAM/PHISHING emails daily.
