Hotmail/Outlook- Mail > Subscriptions > I can not delete newsletters I did not subscribe to
Under my settings>mail>subscriptions - there is a ton of newsletters/junk email/spam that I never added and can not delete. I don't know how they got there and how can i remove them.
No matter what I've tried to delete these it doesn't work - spammers latched themselves this way?
We’ve finished the development work and will be rolling out a new version of the subscription manager over the next few weeks!
You may see that your subscriptions are deleted and the subscription manager is reset. We’re doing this so that we can purge all of the incorrect subscriptions from your list.
Got a message that this was fixed, but you havent sone ****! I’m still receiving massive bs emails a day. Still blocking and marking as “junk mail”, but surprisingly they’re still coming. Cleared my subscriptions too and also a no go. This is getting very irritating 😠
the spam i've been getting lately is insane!! I've been using Hotmail since first time i've used a computer many, many years ago and am now debating deleting my account it has gotten so bad, i can't keep up with it. i didn't check it for a couple of days a few weeks ago and there was over 200 spam emails!!
This is business as usual for the do nothing Outlook.com Moderator.
I delete , and block, delete and permanently delete again and again and the next day I there they are again! emails from last month!!!!
You send ALL my mail to junk, I creating a rule to go to inbox and saying ''I trust this sender'' AND THEY ARE STILL IN JUNK! and they won't let you create a rule again because there already is one!! But they STILL end up in junk!!
You have a stupid rule that I have to ask my bank and credit card co. to jump through your stupid hoops to stop them going to junk!! MY BANKS for God's sake!! WHAT MAKES YOU DECIDE MY BANKING IS JUNK!!! They ALL say ''from safe sender''!! THAT IS IDIOTIC!! Now I HAVE to go to my junk EVERY DAY!!! I thought the purpose of junk was so you didn't have to see all the spam ans Phishing ****!!
And every time you do an ''update'' it turns out to be one more ''*********'' to your users. They only ***** thing up more
IF I COULD FIGURE OUT HOW TO TRANSFER MY HOTMAIL TO ANOTHER E MAIL ACCOUNT I HAVE HAD FOR 25 YRS, I WOULD HAVE BEEN GONE YEARS AGO!!
Can you all make sure that no subscriptions are signed up for that we specifically did NOT approve-going forward?
Can you create a link to delete and report as spam if something gets through?
Can you make an option to report a domain name as spam and block automatically, instead of just the whole email address?
please stop this and give us wild card blocking like *@*.de
It is now November and emails I block from Junk keep showing up in my Subscriptions. I've cleared subscriptions MULTIPLE times over the past few months, reported the issue, tried to work with support providing videos and screenshots and had numerous calls to try to fix the problem. No fix. Not only that, an email I marked as a favorite got BLOCKED! When I didn't get the message, I checked and sure enough, the email address was in my blocked list. ?!?!
The junk mail in the past few months has gotten out of control. I've used Hotmail for YEARS and never seen it as bad as this. Sexually explicit topics, phrases and keywords I've blocked, nothing seems to work.
I'm having the same problem. Every day Outlook adds hundreds of spam entrees to my "Subscriptions" list, in "Settings/Mail/Subscriptions.". I never subscribed to any of these spam sites. It takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to individually remove each piece of spam each day.
Please stop the spam from populating my "Subscriptions" list, or design a bulk delete of all spam on that list, or remove the feature all together. I don't see it's purpose anyway.

I've been a project manager and applications developer startin in 1966 and have never had anything but msn.com since my first PC decades ago. Microsofts' lack of concern for its' followers is absolutely appalling and on the level of Facebook. We should have to opt into subscriptions; here we can't even opt out. This BS will kill my relationship with Microsoft.

It's October 27,2019 and still this matter has not been resolved. When the Customer Support Agents respond, they need to establish and indicated an expected resolution and implementation date. Microsoft, you've got a lot of unhappy campers out here waiting for you to fix the obvious. While you're at it, give us the Print option in the Android Outlook app that was promised to us back in 2014.

nothing but issues with managing Hotmail/Outlook- Mail > Subscriptions …. why does it have to be so hard to manage nothing but more outlook *********

this has created a mess with my account
Just ignore it isn't a great response for anyone and that seems to be Microsoft's stance. Created a problem and writing rules that don't work just exasperates the problem. Had this account since the 80's and it never had these situations..
I now note that the "Subscriptions" settings have been removed from the Outlook > Email menu options. Is this Microsoft's attempt at fixing this issue? If so, now I have as much spam email as before, O365 still has a glitch that allows junk mailers access to my personal live.com subscriptions, but I am no longer allowed to control my own inbox in my own settings?
This reminds me of the old Fast Show sketch when the Dutch policeman says "we used to have a problem with burglary, so we legalised burglary - no problem..."
Has the update been pushed back to September 2020?

Why, for God's sake, do you allow addresses to be added to the Subscriptions list without the users' doing so? Our Contacts lists are generated by the users. No spammer gets added automatically! The same should be true of Subscriptions. The old Newsletters tab was filled with addresses added by users, NOT AUTOMATICALLY ADDED SPAMMERS. C'mon, Microsoft, YOU ARE AIDING AND ABETTING THIS! And, probably, making some sort of profit from it. Fix it!
How is it that Microsoft/Hotmail actually allows SPAMMERS to link to and FORCIBLY make us have to deal with these spam emails? Allowing these spammers to physically link to our email addresses and not give us any option to remove it sounds like the spammers are paying Mircosoft to do this.
No you are not working on it. It could have been fixed a long time ago. Are your software people incompetent or just don't care. Put a checkbox by the subscriptions so they can be deleted.
You also should expand the number of blocked emails or give us the ability to delete blocked senders when our list is full.
Now, the subscriptions options has disappeared from setting. Where I was able to block spam subscriptions and take back some control of my email, I am no longer able to do this and it has once again become flooded with spam!
