The rollover controls (trash/pin) that appear should have some kind of time out - At least a dozen time I've pointed to a row to click and read it, the trash/pin/etc controls appear right under my pointer and grab the click. Maybe do a "if I just showed the rollover controls, don't consume the click". So far they've caused me way more pain than they've solved.
