Allow messages to be permanently deleted instead of routing to junk email folder
In Outlook Destkop, there is the option to permanently delete items instead of routing to junk email folder. This only works though if Outlook (desktop) Junk E-mail rule is used, which it rarely is due to Outlook.com robust spam filtering.
There should be an option on the server side for this. Alternatively, allow control of retention policy applied to junk items.
I with there option to have rule permanently delete email under outlook web
Blocked junk email goes into the deleted items folder, then goes back into junk email folder, surely this is a joke...

You should have a way to delete all junk emails. That would be a great feature

reinstate the ability to actually bock an email, and delete it from folder instead of leaving it in junk. Now have over 100 emails a day in junk, and when select the not spam they still end up in junk so outlook is a complete mess
t wasnt broken so why fix it!
Please if you block email - automatically delete them from the folder FOR GOOD! I don't want to then have to delete them TWICE once from the junk folder and then from the deleted items...
why wont my blocked emails permanently delete when I block them like they have done since I started using outlook. What have you changed .they are staying in my junk folder so i have to delete them then go into my delete box and "delete" them again .Before this they "deleted' straight from my junk folder
With the changes to the Junk Email Folder (e.g. Blocking no longer permanently deletes the unwanted emails), it's crucial that Outlook adds a Delete Permanently option directly within the Junk Email Folder. Blocking the emails and having them stay in the folder isn't helpful, nor is deleting them just to have them sit in the Deleted Folder.
I use the strictest email filtering options, so I'm always getting important and needed emails being sent to the Junk Email folder. I use the Safe Senders list, but it doesn't always work and some good emails are unexpected. With this being the case, I have to fish through the ridiculous amount of junk emails I get multiple times per day to make sure I'm missing something important.
And because I get so many junk emails, it's not possible to just let them sit in the Junk Email Folder until it automatically deletes them after 30 days. I now have to "Block" them, "Delete" them, and then go through the Deleted Folder and "Delete Permanently". This is so unbelievably time-consuming, Outlook! There is no functionality to the Junk Email folder and the options to deal with junk emails anymore.
Need to do something about the abuse of email addresses. Just filtering them into junk doesn't work since the "reply" address & the domain are just changed slightly to defeat the filter
I get a lot of junk emails from different IPs and domain names.
In the message source I see a common denominator: smtp.mailfrom=a-speicifc-domaincom
I want to be able to create a rule to permanently delete messages carrying this line even though they are already in the spam folder.
I think it's a pretty basic stuff.
