If this idea is not able to be commented on. Why do we have a place to post a comment. I have posted a comment on this idea and you keep removing it. Why is that? Moderator please respond in regard to this post. Otherwise this is what the users viewpoint is suppose to be about. Not removing with no comment as to what is wrong. That is concealing and subduing users complaints.

This statement s so true and what is frustrating, " As a customer, I have to look at the email source to figure out who the real sender is and then copy and paste to block the sender/domain. The regular block function does not work because it attempts to block the forged sender email address, not the actual real sender." I was told to do the same thing. What I found out that by blocking the real sender from the message source and putting it into the blocked senders' list DID NO GOOD. Why didn't it work? First, my blocked senders and domains' list only holds so many blocked email addresses. The oldest blocked email is removed from your list and allowed to come back to you time after time. I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE HAD IT HAPPEN TO ME. The next tragedy is enough people have to block a domain to get blocked. WE NEED TO LET INDIVIDUAL USERS' DETERMINE WHAT UNWANTED EMAILS NEED TO BE BLOCKED. If a domain is actually blocked, OUTLOOK ONLY BLOCKS FOR 14 DAYS THEN SERVERS DUMP THE BLOCKED EMAILS BACK INTO THE SYSTEM. I agree we should see the actual sender of email, so we can block them PERMANENTLY, NOT FOR 14 DAYS. Here is a list of spam email domains that I want to block. I would like you to provide me a tool or button to block all domains that end in these words. Here they are:
.store, .life, .club, .games, .live, .world, .design, .men, .agency, .website, .fun, .party, .date, .recipes, .today, .online, .us, .red, .space, .win, .repair, .email, .shop, .best, .city, .blue, .run, .tech, .team, .nl, .show, .boutique, .site, .cloud, .pet, .tours, .systems, .network, .zone, .solutions, .digital, .bargains, .review, .trade, .delivery, .group, .cafe, .lt, .xyz, .info, .pw, .guide, .coach, .loan, .center, .icu, .eu., .co, .net, .com, I have more that need blocking. My question is: Will Outlook be part of the solution or continue being part of the problem. My wants are ALL EMAILS NOT ON MY SAFE SENDERS LIST NEED TO BE BLOCKED. They should be decided by each individual user and not as a group or having the most votes.
Is any other users having the same unwanted emails ending in the above domains? If so how about letting Outlook know we want to have a solution to this problem Like a way to block all emails not on our safe senders list.

I agree with the user's comment made on May 25,2020, which was:
"There MUST be a tool for SPAM MANAGEMENT - Advanced spam mechanisms including the ability for users to directly Block Senders, Block Domains or Block an entire suffix of domains." Outlook please read user's comments and act on some of the ideas and suggestions. To this user, you are absolutely right in your thinking. Good Job and thanks for chiming in. -

It is just as outrageous to send other people's junk emails to me, as it is to send junk emails not addressed to anyone. Now I have pleaded to get a way to block all domains or ALL junk emails not on my safe senders' list. So I am asking any and all users of Outlook to join me in voting for anyone's idea to block any junk emails whether addressed to them, addressed to no one on address bar and those that are addressed to someone else but ends up in your junk email folder. I feel all these are a threat to mine and others' safety and privacy. My examples would be the ones that the admin. altered and I can see why (they are revealing someone's email address). Although it was alright to send to me. Now I am receiving unwanted emails addressed to no one. It is bad enough to get emails that were blocked with the tools that Outlook wants us to use, but THEY DO NOT WORK. My examples: Getting emails with other users' real email addresses. xxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxx@hotmail.com, xxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxx@hotmail.com, xxxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxxx@live.com, xxxxxx@hotmail.com
xxxxx@outlook.com, xxxxx@hotmail.com.My examples of receiving emails with nobody's name on it are:

Sent: Monday, December 21, 2020 4:15 AM ***No name on address barUsers are you receiving any of these junk emails with these subjects? If so vote for anyone's idea that wants Outlook to provide some way to block all emails not on your safe senders' list. Outlook you can see the full spam emails by asking the abuse and report spam teams, because I think these are spam and need to be blocked. Moderator(s) you need to pickup the pace in vetting and putting comments and/or ideas in a timely manner. I have several that have been waiting for approval for a couple of weeks. It may be acceptable to have people pleading for solutions to fight problems they perceive happening to them, today and not wait years to get enough votes. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A PLACE FOR USERS TO VOICE THEIR OPINIONS OR IDEAS, if no one listens or replies? Or better yet waits for a survey that takes too long to get enough votes. My idea and/or complaints are real and immediate. Change can happen even in America.

Not sure why some of my comments were altered by the admin. on December 2 2020 (xxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxx@hotmail.com, xxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxx@hotmail.com, xxxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxxx@live.com, xxxxxx@hotmail.com
xxxxx@outlook.com, xxxxx@hotmail.com. )
Outlook thought they were okay to send to me unaltered, yet the admin. altered them here. Let us use some transparency as to why I complained for a couple of months and was told the engineers thought this issue was not important enough to fix. Now if you would just give users a tool or button to block the domains of all junk emails that are not on our safe senders list, we could get our problems fixed.

I would like to know what was changed. The reason I ask is, I have blocked all these and they still come back. I would like to block the domains instead of just one email at a time. I have continually used Outlook's tools of marking as phishing and then blocking. It does no good. Here are my examples. From: CancerVictimAdvocates.org Offer <quorum@nicfalliing.xyz>

I have some examples of why Outlook needs to stiffen their junk email filters. When we as users of Microsoft's email, we need to be able as users to address threats on our safety and privacy. Why do we count on the teams that should provide us with these safe guards? Let us ask them with a vote to have Outlook provide us with a tool that blocks threats like these below. Outlook support told me to send all junk emails to our Abuse department "abuse@outlook.com" and "report_spam@outlook.com". They would then see the abuse and spam ALL USERS are receiving into their accounts. However, I question whether they or Microsoft pay any attention to users' complaints. These are threats I have received and sent to the teams designated by Outlook support. Can any users or Outlook see any pattern? Read below my thoughts.

6+5+3+2= 16. So 16 out of 19 examples show the use of the same @ and please note the domains. Yet all 19 are about the same subject using most of the same words (CarInsurance) you get my point. Why does Outlook's junk email filters fail to detect patterns and stop them from coming into our email accounts? Why can't users get a tool or button to block all emails not on our safe sender's list? OUTLOOK'S TEAMS WERE IN POSSESSION OF ALL JUNK EMAILS THAT I THINK ARE SPAM, BECAUSE I FORWARDED THEM. WHAT DID THEY DO WITH THESE JUNK EMAILS? -

I think users need to get together and decide what is a good way to get Outlook to listen to our needs. In saying this what better way to get what we need is to vote as often as we can. I will say this I think if we had a tool that would block the domains of spam emails we would solve a lot together. I also if we can't get a tool then we should all ask for Outlook them to block all emails not on our safe senders list. We can do more if people would take the time to comment if an idea is worth voting for.

These examples of why it is necessary to let email users to block junk emails from coming into our accounts. First can you tell me if emails addressed to someone else can come into another users' email account? The reason I ask is these emails addressed to these email accounts are coming into my account. xxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxx@hotmail.com, xxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxx@hotmail.com, xxxxxx@hotmail.com,
xxxxxx@live.com, xxxxxx@hotmail.com
xxxxx@outlook.com, xxxxx@hotmail.com. The emails coming into my account are addressed to these email account holders, not me. So why are they allowed to come into my account? Are they ads? Does Outlook allow other people's spam emails into other people's account? Is that an invasion of privacy and/or safety. Why am I still waiting to hear if Outlook will do something about stopping spam emails from coming into users' accounts by providing a tool to block the domains of emails not on the safe sender's list. Come on Outlook let's do something. Hurry up moderators

I wonder how a commentor knows if their suggestions are acted on? Why do I wonder this? Because no one has ever said to me if they have approved my idea to be posted or notified me of what is acted on or not. I still think no unwanted emails should come into a users' account that is not on their safe senders list whether that email comes into their junk email folder or inbox. For Outlook to tell me they can't block all unwanted emails because they might get sued is preposterous and wrong. That tells me they are the ones sending these unwanted emails into every ones' account. LET EACH INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNT USER DECIDE WHAT COMES INTO THEIR ACCOUNT BY GIVING THEM A TOOL OR BUTTON TO BLOCK THE DOMAIN AND NOT THE INDIVIDUAL EMAIL. The individual blocking does no good. Blocking the domain would be a good start. Why does it take forever to approve comments? More resources needed to vet comments and get them out there for other users to comment on and either agree or disagree.

In my opinion, that and ten bucks will get you a cup of coffee. What is the point of having a safe senders list that okays what emails come into your account? If all these spam emails (ads) come to you regardless of whether they are on your safe list. I know people are busy but it sure would help protect email users if we had a way to block domains.

I see no change in the way you block senders and domains. I still have the same domains coming into my account that I did a year and a half ago. The problem I see is Outlook needs to give each email user the ability to block the domains, stop dumping block emails every 14 days or so and start being part of the solution and not the problem. Right now I am receiving someone else's spam emails. How do I know this? BECAUSE MY EMAIL ADDRESS OR MY NAME IS NOT ON THESE EMAILS. Give me a break and fix it so I can do the job Outlook will not or can not do.

the junk>block pull down had an option to select either the entire email address or the domain. It seems to have stopped working several weeks ago and now you only get the option to block the entire address (as it used to be). It is a royal PIA to have to make edits to the blocked senders list to add domains only. Please restore a great feature and it would be even better if it filtered out dupes.

When reporting a phishing scam email it should block the sender & there should be an additional option to block the domain as well

Please add an option to block any email with a"String" we define that will be in the email subject or the email address. For example, "Viagra" all emails with this string will be blocked.
