Turn off reminders by default or use previous setting in calendar
In the calendar beta reminders are on by default now, they didn't used to be.
Please add the option to either turn off the reminders by default so I don't have to turn it off everytime, or have it so it saves your previous reminder setting from the last event added.
Hate this about the calendar beta!

This feature, will be much appreciated. I pack my day with "to-do" events and I do not want to be reminded that I supposed to do something else in 15 minutes. Easily can be resolved with storing previous reminder option value. Otherwise it is a lot of unnecessary actions and distraction.

Every New Event has the reminder pre-set to 15 minutes. Please can we be able to adjust this reminder so that any new event opens with our preferred choice. In my case the preferred choice would be "never" since I rarely use reminders for events.

Please just add in 'Settings>Calendar>Events and invitations>Events you create' an option in Defaut reminders that says 'no reminders'.
It's a pain when making multiple bookings having to click and remove reminders. They're so annoying. -

We've had users ask about this feature which was present in the old OWA. We'd love to see it reinstated.

I book several flights a week for up to 4 different people and keep their flight information in my calendar to keep track of their travel. My inbox is littered with emails from Microsoft Outlook Calendar asking me to "consider checking in" for each flight I book. That's anywhere from 16 to 32 messages per week. Is there a way to turn off the email reminders for the travel events in my calendar?

I would like the calendar pop ups to stop, they pop up on my screen while I'm watching movies. I don't need reminders for calendar events

Please do something about this now. Having a reminder on every single event is ridiculous, and turning it off constantly is going to send me to Google Calendars in a hurry.

I agree! I have tried to find a way to make it default to Never because I certainly don't need a reminder for every single calendar entry.

Although I like the auto-adding of tasks, I can not switch off notifications for all (only per already-created-entry) and this is highly annoying. As a result I no longer use the calendar.

I hardly ever use reminders, so it's a pain to have to turn them off whenever I schedule something.
Why are they on by default? Please leave them off by default.

I want the ability to default the reminders to how I need to see them, whether it's "never" or "15 minutes", etc. I want to be able to control this.

I rarely want a reminder, so any time I create a new appointment I have to manually remove the default reminder. Very silly waste of time!
