Block Sender
You marked "completed" the "Block Sender" item that had over 1100 votes and many more comments. The solution you gave does not work when the email is already in the "Junk" email folder. Right clicking on items in the "Junk" folder opens the email. It does bring up the "Block" function, but still opens the email. Again, your solution addresses emails that are not already in the "Junk" folder. Please reopen this issue and give us a way to block emails without having to open them if they are already in the Junk folder based on your spam criteria. This is a MAJOR SECURITY ISSUE. Thanks. Maureen

How do I permanently block people who think I'm a man & in the USA?

Why does the blocking mechanism keep changing? It was working great in the past - I could select the messages to block, click the Block option, and they all disappeared. Now I get an extra pop-up to block them, and then it just sends them to deleted items. if I don't mark them as read first, then they show up in my Deleted Items as unread. It is super annoying. Why do you guys keep changing this stuff? When something actually works, how about leaving it alone?!

I used to be able to block senders with one click. Did you do away with it? Your filtering rules for emails do not work.

Hotmail customer service/tech support is completely useless.
They have no idea what they are doing. All I ever get told is that is the word "block" but that block doesn't do anything at all since the emails in question would be going to the Junk folder anyway.

I cannot block any senders as I used to, and every day I receive 20-50 potential blockable spam in my junk folder. I want to block these. Does it matter? Should I just delete them from now on?
