Can't attach files - STILL!
Outlook.com has become a failure. It would seem that 90% of the time I'm unable to send an email with an attachment as I get to notifications to say either "The following files couldn't be attached" or "this message can't be saved at the moment". If this is a lame attempt to have me use the cloud or go 'pro' it has failed. I will now go to Gmail. MS - you're becoming a legacy and not current and vital!!
When I try to attach a file to an Outlook 365 (Mac) email, it treats the file as if it's empty. For example, I just attached a 19k file that shows up in Outlook as 0 bytes. Does anyone know what's going on?

Outlook on Mac suddenly wouldn't allow attachment, giving a message to that effect instead. After reading these comments, Chrome worked for me.

As of this morning I see the same using Outlook web app. The PC app (I never use) works fine. Very strange!

Improve attaching files, most of the times I attach a file or photo to an email, it won't attach anything to the email I'm sending.

I think this may have to do with using an adblocker. I turned my off, refreshed, and I was able to attach.
I am having the same problem its affecting my work !!
Wow. I never used outlook via my Mac before, and I can why it get such a bad rep. I can't even add an attachment.
I see comments to this effect going back to 2018. Disgraceful attitude by MS towards a PAID product.

I have been struggling all day with outlook on Safari. After visiting this page I have since downloaded Chrome and tried attaching a file on Outlook and it worked like a charm! Thank you SO much!!!!
I had this problem in Safari, but when I logged in to Outlook on Chrome, I was able to attach my files then. Hopefully it helps someone as well
THIS IS INFURIATING. Covid-19 means many people are now stuck with the web-based version of Outlook. Why on earth has this not been dealt with since the problem seemingly occured in 2018?
Still happening. Appears to be intermittent. Nice error, very informative.

There are lots of comments for the same 'The following files couldn't be attached: Please try again later' problem being encountered by many Outlook users.
Is anyone from Microsoft listening, and if so, doing anything to address this situation?

still happening as of 11/22/19 - unacceptable for a business application
Same issue - very poor advice with just a 'Try later' message! Company email so don't have the luxury of just walking away from it!
Exactly the same problem that started today (Sept 22/19). But I see from the comments that the problem exists for quite a long time. FIX IT Outlook - how complicated can it be to go back the old way attaching photos to emails? That's one of the primary things people do with mobile phones.

Since I got the latest updated version, I now find that when I try to share photos via email attachment it keeps failing. I choose to send via hotmail and then it keeps flipping back to the photo before I can do it.
Big disappointmnet as send photos this way for me used to be really handy as it always asked if I wanted to send a smaller file size. That was handy.
Now nothing. I have to use my yahoo mail every time. Hope you can fix it.
i just tried to write an email to myself, emailing myself some of my work and it wouldnt even let me attach any of the documents that i needed which isn't very helpful
This is the shittest email account i have ever used and i have used many of them so FIX IT BECAUSE ITS ****
