Why do I keep getting blocked from my account when I'm reading the setting?!
I'm only trying to change/look over the news settings because my Outlook changed today, AND I KEEP GETTING BLOCKED OUT OF MY ACCOUNT!!!!! ENOUGH!!! You keep saying it looks like someone other than me is in my account; SERIOUSLY?! STOP IT! I'm only trying to read the changes! Is everyone going through this? Why was I FORCED to put in codes and change my password? I need an answer for this waste of my time.

I tired to get assistance and it asked me to log in, which you can't do if your account is locked.
I agree this is ridiculous! I send maybe 4 emails a mth! Always getting locked out and having to wait till the next day! I've about had enough.

I was going to settings just to check how to change my message alert system and I had to endure being locked out of my account and going through security three times in a row. Your service is definitely going down hill. I hope we'll find the alternative very soon.

Yes agree with these 100% had same exp., esp like Valirie..... Outlook/hotmail paranoid. 2 stpe verification ? what a fone number that Outlook says has been used too many times. What if Im o/s and have diff fone number ? A simple secret question would be good.
Stop blocking people for doing routine operations with their mail account, please! If you do block accounts and users successfully verify their account, please, don't keep a block on their outgoing mail.

energyfieldhealer - I have same/similar problems with accessing my account. repeatedly told to get a new password and "verify my account". Was expecting e-mails under previous password which was correct. I write down every password for every site I access, so it was the correct password. Discouraging.
YES! I so agree! Outlook was recommended to me - but what a bloody nightmare it is turning out to be. Blocked over and over, for sending 1 or 2 emails! I have to "verify my account" - and then it won't let me because it says I've "reached my usage limit"!! REALLY?? 4 emails? Each only to one person, with a few lines of typing! OMG! If it doesn't get any better, I'll have to go to another provider. I'm self-employed and if I can't get emails out to people, I don't get paid. Or if I don't reply quickly enough to requests for work, they go elsewhere.
Your security measures are set ridiculously high. I tried to send a URL news link to a friend and neither email sent, then I got locked out of my account because it "looks like it might be being used for fraudulent activity". Then when I go through your stupid hoops to get back in it often says that my cell number I enter to receive the access code has been "used too many times". Seriously? I had to ask a friend to receive the code. I'm going back to aol mail-- you're too paranoid.
I HATE it when you lock me out of my account when I'm just trying Microsoft Edge!! ********!!! Then you force me to use a new password. I tried ******** but it was TOO COMMON!!! How many people do you **** OFF by locking them out of their mail??? This is enough reason for me to switch to gmail.

We don't want to be immediately blocked out of our account just because either there is poor internet connection or we lose the connection or even when we travel and use the mobile internet. It also happen when there is problem with verification or undone verification. We need it to be repaired because lately we get regularly blocked for no true reason.
I was locked out of my account for "suspicious activity" but there has been none!

Is it simply because my ISP generates dynamic IPs?
