This is ridiculous that this issue has been reported to Microsoft going on 3 years as far as I can trace. I am also having the same problem and it was suggested to be browser related but I've tried a couple different browsers with the same result.
Could someone please fix this???

I have one contact with whom I have been exchanging emails for years. He still receives mine but starting last year I stopped receiving his. It doesn't matter whether he initiates the email or is replying to mine. His emails don't go to my junk folder. They simply don't arrive. I tried adding his email address to my safe senders list, but I can't add any email addresses to that list. When I click "add" the address I just typed simply disappears. This has been extremely frustrating.

I am also having this same issue. My Safe Senders list is empty. I add one email address (info@myjobsdomain.org), click Save, and when I immediately check it, it's gone again. Emails originating from my own job are going into Junk. I hope Outlook can resolve this issue.

My build server e-mails are constantly being put into the junk folder even though I've marked the address as safe sender.
Is there anything else I could do to prevent this junk folder debacle?

Having same issue with not being able to add a "safe sender". Funny thing, last one I tried to enter was Team Gatesnotes.

Safe sender additions will not work. Hotmail/Outlook continues to get worse rather than better. Good job 'team'.

In the Junk mail box, when a mail is manually confirmed to be safe, I also want the sender to be added in the safe list of the "Settings", so that any future mail from him will appear in the "Inbox".
For the moment it's not the case, Outlook does not "learn" and I need to do it each time, or add the sender as a contact (I may not want to add my shops as "contacts" !) -

adding an address to safe senders list doesn't the work. The next time an email comes in from that address it goes straight to junk. Please fix it!

August, 2019...in a month or so????
Been how long already and nothing seems to get done to fix this. NEED a way to make senders Safe. Nothing to click in order to Add an address entered. Oversight or something arbitrarily decided to not do?

'add to safe senders' button or include an opt in feature for the 'not junk' button to add the domain to the safe senders list
This should also then be expanded upon to a default anti-spam email setup where the inbox is treated as 'opt-in' by default -

I am having the same issue with the ballons in the email address from these spam accounts. Hotmail does not allow me to create a rule to block senders with a 🎈 in the email address. An example, 6u4gik57.🎈@rexardwxmd.com. This is the error message:
"An SMTP e-mail address can only contain ASCII characters."
Looks like as of right now there is no way to block these spam emails and they are bypassing the safe senders list en masse. :(

It seems a new type of SPAM has emerged that Outlook is having trouble dealing with it. I am receiving messages in my Inbox - despite having only allowed people in my safe senders' list - that have ballons in the email. It looks like this: afkYDhfy.🎈@egnaaffarer.se
Outlook is not parsing these to SPAM. I am having to manually add each one of these to the blocked domains list which is very time consuming and making me want to send everyone to deleted items.

this is amazingly frustrating. I've turned on "only trust mail from safe senders..." option since I was getting too much SITI. but if I use any of the "add address to safe senders" options, the specific mail will move to my inbox, but future mails are still moved to junk. only if I create a new contact for that email address will it miss the junk folder. even when I reply to a sender, they are not trusted. please fix this!!

Yep, just went to add a domain to the save sender's list and despite hitting save, it disappears on refresh.
What up?

All changes I've made to Safe senders and domains don't persist when I hit "Save". All my changes aren't saved. Any idea when this will be resolved?
