It is ridiculous that I have to type in the address of the email that is sending me junk. Why would I want to open an email to get the address? Just hitting the Block Sender was so much safer. This is ridiculous.
To block a sender without clicking into an email, either:
1) Right-click on that email to bring up a context menu
2) Select “Block”
1) Select the item in the message list
2) Select the “Junk” dropdown in the top level menu bar
3) Select “Block”

Bring back the Block button!
Totally agree. Big mistake to eliminate the Block option.
The new format is just pure junk and the cumbersome clumsy way to assign un welcome persistant offers from unsolicited sources to a JUNK folder is indicative of who is in control of MSN.

I agree. When you are in the JUNK MAIL folder, it was so much faster to block a sender when there was a separate radio button at the top for BLOCK. Now you have to drop down the dialog box labeled NOT JUNK to see Phishing or Block. Why would you do that? Do the people making these changes use the product to see how they affect we consumers?
I get so much unwanted e-mails I usually block 50 or more per day. Also need more space on the amount of e-mails that can be blocked. With the onslaught of unwanted e-mail, you need to do something to help us out.
I hate the new Outlook. There wasn't any reason to change. It's cluttered and stupid. Change just to change is stupid. looking for a new way to get rid of Outlook!!!
agreed......the way we used to block was great.....please restore!!!!!!!!!!!
please, please return the block sender immediately!!!!!!!!
Are you not listening to all these comments?
what happened to the "Block" feature so unwanted mail won't keep coming into my mail box???
Hate the new format!!
Way too busy. Keep it simple and user friendly
I don´t like the new look. And nobody asked me if I want it.

HATE NEW FORMAT. LOOKS LIKE CHANGES FOR THE SAKE OF CHANGES...FOR THE WORSE.
This is typical, update it and make it as difficult as possible, whoever decided this route for blocking unwanted emails needs to be fired!
WE GET SEVERAL HIGHLY OFFENSIVE PORNOGRAPHIC EMAILS EVERY DAY AND WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO BLOCK THEM INSTANTLY.
Why can't Hotmail/Outlook stop them at source. They are very explicit so no ambiguity - so easy for a filter to spot.
All of this tempts me to change to Gmail!!!! - which I hate but it will be more efficient than what you are doing to our lovely Hotmail!!!!! PLEASE stop changing things which don't need to be changed.
Have you heard the saying: "If it a'int broke, don't mend it"?
Put the BLOCK facility back.
Put the "YOU HAVE REPLIED TO THIS EMAIL" back.
Come on Microsoft - show a little intelligence! We expect more of you.
TOTALLY AGREE! GIVE US BACK THE "BLOCK" FACILITY!!!!!!
Iam sick of blocking the same spam/junk email everyday,You at outlook need to do something about it,block ,track, remove.

HOW TO BLOCK
If you are at your inbox, you can right click an individual email and you can find the "Block" option towards the bottom of the right-click menu.
If you are at your inbox and you want to block multiple emails, select the emails you would like to block and next to the option "Junk" is an arrow pointing down. Click it, then click block. This also works for individual open messages.

Just want a block sender back! Getting way to much unwanted and very un-needed **** coming into my Junk mail.
I can't believe you took away the old method of actually blocking an email address. The whole point is NOT having in the inbox OR the junk mail at all. I get hundreds of junk mail a week - I don't WANT to wait for the emails disappear. I still have to wade through a ridiculous amount of junk mail to make sure there isn't something that is I really DO want to see. Just give us back the old block option. It was simple and worked.
Idiocy plain and simple
I absolutey agree! I HATE this new outlook!!
How about the fact that Hotmail isn't smart enough to filter out the hundreds of junk mail I get daily-**** messages that I wouldn't want my children to be able to read!! So many of them, I've had this email for 10+ but it's getting old and outlook needs to get with the times.
