It is ridiculous that I have to type in the address of the email that is sending me junk. Why would I want to open an email to get the address? Just hitting the Block Sender was so much safer. This is ridiculous.
To block a sender without clicking into an email, either:
1) Right-click on that email to bring up a context menu
2) Select “Block”
1) Select the item in the message list
2) Select the “Junk” dropdown in the top level menu bar
3) Select “Block”
Judging by the comments left by other people and myself, this is purely a non-existent exercise dreamt up by Microsoft to suggest they are dealing with the problem. I am will give Microsoft until the end of the December 2018 and if nothing has changed then I will close the account. Although I am just one, perhaps many other people will follow and then the advertising revenues will fall and eventually and hopefully cease
You allowing prostitutes to invade the privacy of individuals with your ridiculous filters. Prior to the changes, I was able to filter out unrequired correspondence, but now even the "H E L P" does not work!
HATE THIS! I WANT THE SIMPLY, STREAMLINED, BASIC WAY IT WAS BEFORE. EASIER FOR THE EYE TO PERUSE DONW AND FIND WHAT YOU WANT. DO YOU THINK WE CARE TO HAVE A DATE PUT IN A SEPARATE LINE ITEM WHEN, IF IMPORTANT IT IS AT THE END OF THE LINE. TOO MANY THINGS FOR THE EYE TO SEE. KEEP IT SIMPLE. BASIC RULES OF SUCCESS FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IM CHECKING OUT THE GOOGLE PLATFORM NOW. ITS WHAT ALL THE KIDS ARE USING AND SCHOOLS. THEY MUST KNOW WHERE THE FUTURE IS GOING. MAN, YOU GUYS JUST WRECK SOMETHING THAT DIDN'T NEED FIXING!!! PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WA OR GIVE US AND OPTION.
The amount of spam i receive is ridiculous, and that I cannot click the button on the top to add ALL emails on page and then block is a deal breaker. that I cannot block by domain, rather the B.S. fake email they "send from", e.g. my own 90 % of the time, is a deal breaker. I'll find a new email provider. the improvements are not improvements this round. I'm embarrassed.
Why make it so involved to BLOCK an email?
Unbelievable!!! Why would we want to open an unsafe email just to get the address to block it!!!
PUT BLOCKING BACK YOU #%@&$& IDIOTS!!!

I wonder if microsoft was losing money from spammers by making it so easy to block them?
Absolutely agree. I used to be able to go to "junk," click on all the spam I received, and click "block." I don't see why this one-click method was eliminated.
Absolutely agree DO SOMETHING
Total agree this. this is rubbish.

You can still block junk emails, but it requires you to open each one, go to the "..." sub menu, scroll down and click on the "block" item. This opens a pop-up where you confirm your request that the address be blocked. Not only is this time-consuming, but having to open every junk email exposes us to all kinds of virus or other issues contained in the junk emails. Please, please bring back the more secure way to block junk emails. Thank you.
Do not like the new format at all! Bring back the BLOCK! Hate the changes and I am not the only one..... Can you see all the people that have the same concern? Are you listening to us???
I do not understand this step at all, we were told to never open them and to click BLOCK where is the BLOCK..
Give us back our CLASSIC E Mail pc of junk

Totally agree. Big mistake to eliminate the Block option.
