Want Classic Back!
Title: Want Classic Back: I want switched back to classic view. There is no option for me to switch to classic. I was forced to use beta. Please make it an option to choose.
First off, I just want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time and providing feedback on the new Outlook.com experience. I totally appreciate that updates can often be frustrating when things change. I also want to thank everyone that has provided feedback over the course of the Beta to ensure that we address feedback.
With that being said, I do want to offer some types/advice on some options that you can select to get a view that is more in line with the old experience. This includes turning off the Colored bubbles :)
First click on the Gear in the top right hand corner. This will load the Quick Settings Pane. This pane includes all of the key features that are likely different between the old experience and the new experience.
To get a view that is similar to the old view I would turn off the following: Conversation View, Reading Pane (set to Hide), Sender Image (these are the colored initial circles), Group by Date (these are the date headers in the message list), and finally Attachment Preview.
Once these are off, the view should look VERY similar to the old experience.
Again please keep the feedback coming, the entire team is reviewing every submission and we are working on bringing additional improvements.
Some of these include, Density settings (this will help those that want a more compact view), updated spam/junk settings, Chat improvements, and much much more.
Thanks again for using Outlook.com!
I integrated my gmail into outlook for a more professional interface. What happened here? Please clean this up.
How do I get office 365 to look like the classic outlook Not the classic Office 365 look. Even going through your instructions, it doesn't do it - it just puts office365 into a simpler looking version of office 365. How to make it NOT Office365 and make it into Outlook

Microsoft's unmitigated arrogance prevents them from even acknowledging the new design sucks *** beyond comprehension.
I'm an IT consultant and I have a client with poor vision. The new visual layout, display, white on white windows and washed out gray text renders Outlook worthless to her. I have tried ever setting everywhere I can find to tweak the display, but it still sucks.
Whoever at Microslop is responsible for this new view needs to be fired and forbidden from ever again programming a UI for anyone. FU
The new look is horrable.
Why are rules gone in the new Outlook. Take me back to classic where I can move my emails to folders automatically
Give us the option of changing back to the classic look of Outlook before Office 365.
It is just so annoying that everything is in the same color and all trhe contrast is gone. You just can't find what you're looking for as easily anymore. I would just like the yellows and hard black lines back that clearly separated one thing from another
Try right click on the classic ribbon and see it that works.
Hate, hate, hate the look of Office 365. No option for Classic View. Epic Fail.
Finally able to change back to CLASSIC light version!!!
Go to Settings > General > Light Version

I've used this and it gives me the "old, classic" look. I keep it as a bookmark. Sometimes it will revert to the new but clicking on this changes it back.
I miss the old outlook as well. The new version is so cumbersome in so many respects it is totally exhausting

Just got Outlook 2016 pushed on my PC by my company. I hate the new UI. I want the 2013 back! Why did MSFT assume I wanted a different UI? I'm tired of MSFT making choices and assumptions on my behalf. The 2013 UI worked 100% fine for me; no issue whatsoever with it ever. I had no reason to get something different. This 2016 UI brings nothing materially different to me. I don't want it!

Doesn't work.. mobile site is ugly clunky. Hate bubbles, turned off all options available but not all in those sections.
Also cant successfully go back by hitting back button. Its jammed on that screen so must close out and open new screen!! Multiple times.
You can't bring it up but have to find it in sent mail.
HATE THIS SUDDEN NO WARNING CHANGEOVER IN AUST LAST NIGHT!
Why wreck a ckean clear simple user interface.
I'd fire your software engineer and give us back the simple clean format.
I followed your advice for changing settings and it really helped me still hate Outlook. I hate Outlook now. Please give us an option to continue using the email service we are accustomed to and happy with.
Thanks A Lot

I am an executive assistant that sends out multiple meeting requests a day for multiple executives in multiple time zones. This new format where everything is different is extremely disruptive for work. It is not helpful at all. Every time I send out a Meeting Request I have to add names and that I have to click on Invite Attendees each time, is not helpful. Time is important and when you add extra clicks for 20 + meetings a day, it increases the time it takes me to get my daily tasks done. I am trying to figure out how to even send out a meeting request. I have had multiple calls from other EA's at our company and we all think this new format is awful and disruptive. How do we get this classic view back? I have been reading blogs all morning, more time away from my daily work. I did read that there was supposed to be a Toggle Button to view old Outlook vs New Outlook if you log in to Office 365 at https://portal.office.com and click on Outlook. Locate the toggle button to switch between Old Outlook and New Outlook at the upper right. There is no toggle button, is this feature going to be enabled. Please, please enable this or we are just forced to use this new UI. The Beta users probably send out a couple of meeting request a week. In my field we are power users of Outlook. Shame on you for this update.

I would like the classic theme beck on office 365 outlook. Please make a classic theme.
This update is more than pathetic and terrible. I cannot believe that you gave us all this garbage. I now can't drag and drop emails to folders. I get 350 emails a day, I am not a 13 year old who uses this app on my phone. Please take creating apps seriously as we are all busy and serious users!

In PEOPLE the "All Users" gives a list of everyone in the organization. Contacts gives a list of anyone you placed in your contact list. This is not the same and All Users is not in the new view of Office 365. I consider this a "break / fix" situation and would like this fixed. I do like the new view but it should not take away function.
