Filtering Focused vs Other Mailbox
my 'focused' mail is actually going to 'other' and my 'other' is going to 'focused' How do I change this round?

I have missed very important emails that go to the Other section and it has cost me a lot - it is garbage, requiring me to put in twice the work to manually filter emails in both Focused and Other.
"Emails blocked/Emails gesperrt" notice
Dear Sir or Madam,
I received a notice by email@example.com informing me that I have reached 98,9 % of my data volume and asking me to validate my mailbox in order to increase the storage volume by clicking on a link, Is this a true hotmail message or again an attempt to hack my account?
Also, I am really concerned about now missing many mails because hotmail "sorts" my mails onto "focused" and "other", Often, important mails are in the "other" section or even in the junk mails and so for example I only realize after several days that someone has bought something on Ebay. Until this division was created without my consent, I never had to check on ebay itself because selling information of Ebay was reliably delivered into my email account for instant notice and being able to take action. Also messages of people who want to rent a flat answering on my adverts on WG gesucht or immoscout are often in the junk mail or in the "other" section which is a little bit of a nuisance.

I completely hate this focused an other mailbox system. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Mail from the same sender gets split into both mailboxes. I get an alert that I have mail in one and then when I switch there is no new mail there and I get an alert that there is mail in the other one. It makes it harder to search / find mail. This system does NOT make things more efficient or save time. It's the opposite.
Why can't you just leave it all in one box and let users decide what is focused and what is other? Seriously.
I read that you can change messages from Other to Focused and Outlook will "LEARN" that you want these messages go directly to Focused. This is NOT happening; VERY annoying.
Why is it everything i want to see is in 'other' and never 'focused'? And i don't want to hear "you need to set them to show in correct field". I never wanted a focused/other mailbox to start. Also PLEASE BRING BACK MULTIPLE HOTMAIL ACCOUNT LINKING. I'm willing to click saying i'm willing to take reduced security to be able to see my mails in one place.
Please don't respond to this email.
Why did you change the system. It's NOT COMFORTABLE at all.
Please go back to former version. All users wold enjoy that!!!
"Other" inbox contains same messages as "Focused" inbox. That is NOT helpful.
@Microsoft I was black friday spam attacked. All the junk and spam is going to focused. All my legitimate emails are in other. The hazard with deleting the focused/other function is that if there was only one inbox I wouldn't be able to find all these focused emails albeit in the box marked other.
The new block button is peachy! (BETA) However, I was instructed to find message source(IP) by right clicking on the message. And I don't see this feature in BETA yet. It should be rolled over to the new version as well.
As soon as I turned on beta it pretty much stopped the cyber attack mostly so that was cool. Keep up the good work!
I can't even find the "focused" and "other" tabs on the desktop version.
On my android, which I use most of the time my "focused' is full of junk, and spam and even Scam email. There is no dropdown on android to report SCAM either. I can move it, or delete it but not report it as scam I have scam email going into my focus box

why is my FOCUSED box always full of unsolicited junk mail? It should be in the OTHER folder.
It would be great if the filter applied to the Inbox stayed active as you switch between the Focused & Other views
Never confident that outlook is displaying all of my emails. "Focused" and "Other" are never relevant, and I hate that they each show a different list of emails, I'm always scared I will miss something important.

This just started happening to me, too within the last few weeks. I actually kind of liked the Focused feature, but now suddenly every piece of random e-mail is considered focused and I have to keep moving them. Is there any setting to manage this?

Is there a setting to say "only make items focused if I say they are"?
I'm about ready to just turn it off all together.
You almost had a good feature there. So close.....
Focused Inbox - Super annoyed that my focused inbox is no longer focused since the last upgrade. Time wasted.
Since you've changed the layout of your email system AGAIN it is impossible to find the emails needed and they frequently shift between "focused" and "other" which is really not helpful. because of this i've almost missed paying my bills because it didn't show up at all. you guys used to be the only good email service now you've embraced the terribleness of gmail congratulations you've failed miserably with your constant changing of the interface.

since the last update all my useless emails that usually go to the other inbox are appearing in my focused invoice. its super annoying as i always get notifications now and have to go on the desktop version to select "always move to other inbox"

Hi Microsoft Team, my Inbox filter for "Focused" and "Other" emails are not working efficiently. I received promotional emails on my "Focused" folder.

Focused vs Other email separation is no longer working as well as it used to. Almost all of my email comes into the Focused box, previously more than half would be in Other box. Please restore the previous algorithm.
have been manually moving emails from "focused" to "others", hoping to provide feedback to train your categorization algorithm. but so far doesn't work.
