Find a way so when you are traveling you don't get lock out of your own account. When you travel to different country's your cell phone may not work so sending a code to that will not help you out. I wish there was a way you can inform Hotmail that you are going to be traveling and to avoid being lock out. I find it frustrating that you have to have a different email account just so they can send a code to access you own account.

The number of steps you have to go through to verify your account when in another country is excessive. When in Germany I ended up locked out of both my Outlook accounts and struggled to check in for my flight home. A simple email flagging an unusual log in would have sufficed.

I need you to not shut down my account when I go back home from travelling like you did when I went back on holiday. I took the same phone as I had when I was travelling, You still locked my account. There doesn't seem to be anywhere that I can change a setting so you son't do that. The thing that makes me absolutely livid about this is that I had the account for 20 years at home before I came here, and you locked me out when I went home

Can you stop suspending my outlook account each time I log in from different country!!! I am traveling a lot with my work, and I don't have ability to receive SMS in each country! Hate your system of verification!

When I access my emails while travelling your system views it as suspicious activity and locks me out of my account - I need a way to pre-notify you of travel plans to avoid this, in the same way I can let my bank know so they don't freeze my account.

Hi, I'm going overseas, to Japan, from May 31st to August 24th, and I just want to ensure I will be able to access my email (on my phone and/or computer). In the past, I've had issues accessing email on any device I've tried. Would the precautions be able to be lifted so I don't get blocked out, for these dates?

I will be in California in mid-May to end of month. Could you PLEASE!! take the fraud control off my account so I can log-in from my cousins'/friends computers? I don't travel with a mobile phone and don't own a computer. If my credit card companies can do it, why can't msn?
Thanks -

I will travel to Taiwan for two months. I will not be able to use my US phone number to authenticate and log in. I may have difficulty logging into other email accounts for the same reason. Please don't lock me out.
Please create some kind of "Travel Notification" option for my privacy and security settings so I don't have to deal with this when I go overseas.

Recently while traveling to the grand cayman's with a new laptop I was locked out of my outlook account because Microsoft detected a strange log in. The back up device for my account was my phone which Will not work in the caymans. So I am stuck locked out of my account and no way to unlock it. I knew my mothers birthplace and the other security questions but that was not enough to get me access to my account. I was successful in getting you to send a code to one of my other email accounts but even using that code was not enough to get you to unlock it. You insisted on sending a code to my cellphone which was not possible to use. SO...I am requesting that if someone is knows where my mother was born and smart enough to guess my 9 character password that has foiled years of attempts to get access to my account then by god they deserve to have access to my account. I was counting on that account for getting confirmation of airline booking and boarding passes. Being locked out of that account required me to change my communications methods at the booking agent and at the airline to my google account. Google, by the way, has never logged me out of my account. They send me a warning of mysterious logins to all my other account but never restrict access if I know the password. . You need to revise your policy for locking someone out of their account.

make it easier to access your account from abroad or another device without all the "suspicious activity" or "recover your account" hassle. For people who travel a lot, this is REALLY annoying.

Using hotmail in a foreign country.
I was unable to use my email on holiday. When I tried to log in hotmail didn't let me. Then I answered some questions after which I got a code sent. Worked perfectly as the code got sent to my email on which I couldn't go... Good thinking there!
Please get rid of this nonesence "safety" -

While on vacation, I was not able to open my hotmail on my wife's laptop. I tried having you send a code to my alternate e-mail and to my cell phone, neither of which received the code. I tried this a few times, all with no success. Please reply as to how to correct this so that it will work the next time.

How is this an answer? You completely ignored suggestions given in other queries and suggest that this is completed. The direct suggestion is that you stop requiring 5 pages of personal information when correct email, correct password and correct answer to security question is supplied.
