Can no longer drag & drop emails to folders
Can no longer drag and drop emails to folders. It only works if that email is not the current one open. So if I have only one email left in my inbox (I like to keep my inbox empty) I can't drag and drop that last remaining email because that one is "open" I have to click on the little circle to the left of the email, then from the drop down folder menu click on the folder I want it to go to. This is more time consuming .This is using google chrome and IE and from other computers as well, both PC and Mac.
We’ve fixed and shipped this bug fix. Drag/drop should now work in all browsers.
How do I undo this new format?

The move function doesn't have all of the folders listed and when asked to show all of the folders, the list flashes on the screen and disappears
I want my old message box to come back. It was more convenient: it was possible to select and sweep all the emails from the same sender in only one click. Now we can't!
Why is it no longer possible to select all the emails from the same sender at the same time to classify them with a single click in a folder. It was very convenient.
Can't select multiple messages wrongly allocated to my Focused Inbox and drag them to Other Inbox? Have to drag one at a time...!
Yes Jennifer, same thing using Firefox.
Also, this new setup to me is little more than an impractical reshuffling of the previous layout, it over-complicates what used to be simple and straight-forward, adding nothing useful.
The cartoonish collored bullets are distracting. I opened my mail this morning and found myself yanked out of a clean rather straightforward environment and dumped into a kindergarden classroon.
Furthermore, along with a number of other unwanted tinkerings I can't scroll down and stop on an inbox entry without the entire listing almost systematically defaulting back to the top of the page. This is to say the least impractical, ergo annoying.
Remember the Coca-Cola Classic thing hotmail people, if you want to rework a perfectly fine and functionnal recipe then alright, let the kindergardenners use it, but kindly don't try to force it down the entire customer base's throat without at least making the old formula available to those who find the new one – to put it delicately – ''not to their taste.''
You can do that, we have the technology.
So thanks, but no thanks, can I please have my old hotmail back?
I agree with the above. The whole thing is cumbersome awkward and badly thought out - SIMPLIFY!!! It worked perfectly well before all this unnecessary messing around.

can't move emails to another folder, neither can delete from inbox.
unable to move ALL emails in inbox to a folder, you have to do a few at a time. And drag and drop no longer works.

Hotmail, when used in Explorer 11, is jerky, hardly smooth -- too much background activity, affecting user experience. Extremely annoying. Unable to move folders around -- drag-and-drop feature not working.

Get the basics correct before all the flair. The search function is terrible and the move email to folder or drag and drop functionality is terrible. When moving an email to a folder I could not follow a folder tree and therefore some of my folders do not show up at all. Even bearing in mind they are all listed alphabetically. There does not seem to be a drag and drop function anymore!
Bring back drag and drop attachments please!!! Also, when I hit reply in a chain conversation, I want it to go to the recipient (like it used to)...not to me. Thanks!
I can't drag and drop my messages to a particular folder.

junk mail folder sucks. after selecting a ton of emails, it wont drag or give me the option to move them to other folders. please fix it
Earlier Feature of Mail Drag & drop from One folder to other was good
Now in absence of said feature, its taking time to handle and sort mails
Strongly suggest to keep earlier feature
This is a valid and recent issue. I've found that I have to first click on that folder to open it, then go back to the folder I was just viewing. Then, all-of-a-sudden I can drag and drop the message to that folder.
I used to be able to drag and drop messages into folders. Now that doesn't work. Please fix or revert back to the old format ASAP.
Your site is getting worse and worse.
1. it used to be the pinned emails were in a separate scroll window at the top, and the regular ones below it. I could scroll through just the regular ones without having to scroll down past all my pinned ones.
2. What is going on with dragging emails to folders? It doesn't work anymore. Seems if I pin them, then sometimes I can drag them and sometimes I can't. When I use the move dropdown, only half my folders are available to choose from.
If you are going to make website changes, please make it better, not worse.

Starting this week, I can no longer drag emails from my inbox (or any other folder) to another folder. I have to right click and go to "Move", which is much less efficient.
Outlook no longer allows to select multiple emails and drag them to folders. TURN OFF!
