In 25 years finding the edit or delete button in contacts has not been a problem. Help please..

Outlook stinks anymore. A simple button placed right there on the internet mail to access your contacts and Microsoft has changed it into "In Search of Mr Spock" moment. Dumb as all get out. So Outlook? While you are so busy making our email box so cute how about you put a simple button to access our contacts without having to search for it???

I am able to edit all contacts successfully using outlook.com except my own name (I've added my numbers to my contact list from the Windows 10 People app successfully) and I can edit my own name when I use the People app but I cannot do so when using outlook.com.
When I press on the (Edit Contact) option on my name it will return this error message:
We’re having trouble opening the contact. -

Using Firefox to access my Hotmail. New message. CC. List of contacts. Click a contact, it shows details, click "Edit contact" to update e-mail address. Edit contact dialogue.
NONE OF THE FIELDS ARE EDITABLE.
Click to close the useless ****.
Do I want to discard my changes?!!!
WHAT ******* CHANGES? THE STUPID BLOODY USELESS **** WOULDN`T LET ME MAKE ANY.
Why do you incompetent arseholes keep messing about with things that were fine to make them "better" and just make them WORSE?
Have you never heard of TESTING?

I want to delete a recipient that I have used before and It's not even a contact. But when I go to "People" and type the name in the search box and choose it I want to delete that email address but it does't let me.
This is very frustrating!

I need to edit contacts and there are no editing tools.

Why are there no fixes on this thread? -

We all have the same problem, can't edit a contact and when deleted, that still shows up as the contact. No one seems to be telling us how to handle this problem. Darn outlook, you have wrecked me one too many times. After all these years I have to change over and everything I have kept since I will need I won't be able to use anymore. Why?????

I'm not able to edit a contact to add an email. When I click 'Edit Contact' for an existing record, I don't get an option to update it.

Why are my contact lists not associated with my contacts? I can not edit my existing contact lists. I can not edit my lists.

Totally agree with Tomo's comment. The edit button that used to be on the screen has disappeared completely, and your answer in the Help section is useless.

I am trying to edit a contact by getting rid of one of the email addresses that are listed for that contact and it will not let me do that.

you deliberately murky up contacts (People) what ever your current reference to emails addresses. What are "Recent Contacts", why they do not show up under all contacts, and why we cannot edit, delete, clear, or do anything about them?

It's a problem you can't edit a wrong formulated email address. Why the **** do you insist on this stupid Apple inspired getup? I may seriously have to consider a new email provider.

Editing a Contact: Why is it that, when I edit a contact in my contact list to their new email address, the new address shows up in my contact list from then on but, when I go to New Message to send that contact an email, the address is the old one that supposedly has been deleted and the new edited address never shows up? This happens over and over.

Just tried to edit to add address. There is nothing in the box that opens up.
Again, do you check your work? This isn't 3rd grade math class.

Ditto Jim, I edit the contact info in People and Contacts then, when typing addresses in my email the OLD email address comes up again. E.g. my contact changed their address from hotmail to gmail. The edit did nothing.

This is very frustrating......I change the email address in an existing contact. Days later the change is in the information of the contact but the thumbnail on the left with the person's name shows the old email address. And when I'm starting a new email and type the person's name in, it brings up the old email address
