Don't want to open spam
I know you can right click to mark an item as spam but when you right click it still opens the e-mail which let's the company who sent the spam know that this is an active e-mail account.
Spam has been horrible because I've had to click and delete all of the incoming spam...

Still an issue! Trying to mark as spam only opens spam causing more spam...

currently spam emails makes it to inbox (in my case about 40% of the spam). in order for me to flag this as spam i need to click on it which automatically loads the images in the email. this will only confirm spammers my email address is not only valid but there is someone that checks it, which means i will get more spam.
can we get a way to be able to click on spam button, select the message(s) then confirm spam which would NOT open the email?

Maybe we can boycott advertisers in the side bar. Would that get Microsoft's attention?
I never click on those ads but I might try emailing the advertiser directly and let them know they are dead to me until MS starts to listen.

When right clicking spam emails in any folder, don't open them before clicking 'Mark as Spam'
Under Settings, Mail, there is a "Customize Actions" option where one can add Icons for quick clicks. Two that can be added are "Junk" and "Phishing". Perhaps if one adds these Icons beside the Delete, Flag, etc ones already there by default, it might be possible to designate as Junk without opening an email.
missing a report phishing/trash button on the front end. so i need to open the mail for aditional security risks. please get this back
