I simply do not like it. I do not understand why you people continue to ***** up an email service that did not need to be changed.
I simply do not like it. I do not understand why you people continue to ***** up an email service that did not need to be changed. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the original Hotmail.

First off, thank you all for using outlook.com and for providing such great feedback. I wanted to address the feedback that you have left about not being able to do some of the advanced search that you had in the older outlook.com experience.
We actually do have advanced search. When you click in the Search box at the top of the screen, it will expand and there is a “filter” icon. If you click that icon you should be able to do date search, attachments, etc.
Hope this helps

For the love of god stop changing the inbox. There has not been a single update that I have liked and I would shoot back 10 reversions if you gave me the option. Each time I think you can't find ways to make this more unappealing you do!

It is impossible. All the complaints combined give you the answer. Do NOT try to change something that is successful.

As with users below, I use hotmail because it is NOT gmail. I don't like all the rounded bubbles and **** that gmail does. Hotmail/outlook was very simple, SHORT row heights, and straight to the point.
I can see LESS mail now, its SLOWER, and much less intuitive to navigate.
The link below opens email in CLASSIC view.

David, the old product was great, which is why so many people stuck with it over gmail and the latest trends. Being a Word product, Hotmail was a simple yet effective email. Even if you call it Outlook, it's better than gmail, which is so messy. The threads are terrible. Hotmail or Outlook (which I use for work), was a nice link to the Microsoft world (something I thought I'd never say) for those of us who need to write emails, compose letters, and enjoy the basic Word-document like formatting.
the biggest issue with any of this, despite changing settings, is that it's SLOWER and clunky now. It used to be more like a Times Roman font and now it feels like the entire thing is slower, rounder, and stumbling. And no, it's not my speed or connection. It's the graphics.

Dear David
Thank you for your reply. When Outlook was given its latest new look, a further deterioration in functionality compared with the previous update, I immediately did all the things you suggest there. Yet I still can't see as many emails at a glance compared with the previous incarnation. In fact, this facility has consistently has been reduced with each revision of the Inbox look. Hence, every time it is changed, I am a little bit more dissatisfied as a customer than I was previously.
So it doesn't help, no. -

Horrible 'update' -- slowest email EVER, jerky, visually very distracting -- I hope these user complaints reach somebody who cares!
Does anyone know if the 'classic link' posted is legit? I know it works, love having the option BUT I read its a phishing scam. I received replies to my complaints from 'Outlook support' which were poorly written with incorrect grammar, signed "Christian". I quit answering them, seem very sketchy.

As usual no of this helps. You can do all of the above suggestions and this still stinks! As others have stated it is extremely slower than before. I get at least 100 emails daily and it takes 5x as long to go through them. Doesn't matter if you delete one or many, it takes forever to recover. Everything just sits there and freezes. What a pain. Never mind the fact the the form factor looks like some teenage kid designed it. bubbles in stead of squares, stars to favorite, etc. Who needs to favorite a folder...simple answer, no one. You people really dropped the ball on this one. And I don't care what you say, NO ONE asked for this change, as you keep saying. Most people never used the beta, and the ones who did hated it. Yet you still feel the need to make these changes saying this is what we asked for.Well I'm here to tell you we did not. So stop giving us useless information on how to make it better, since it doesn't, and give us back our classic version. That's the only way that we all will be happy!

I think the point being made David, was these new features could have been put in the classic version of hotmail/outlook without changing the whole UI. I really don't like the new UI, it was easy to use before, even before you now have the focus and non focus switching between the 2 almost different mail boxes. It's like a cheap version of outlook in Microsoft office, but a total pain to use. People like hotmail/outlook because it's easy to use and now your making it harder and harder to find thing and do things. A better thing to do would have been to improve existing features, like spam filtering and AI spam detecting, which I thought Microsoft said it was going to help cut down on spam and instead I report most of the these junk emails to find out they came from hotmail/outlook or the spammer now stick in junk fake headers making it look like it from hotmail/outlook, BUT when someone can create a new acct and import 1k or more of addresses and do mass spamming, that's all on your guys for not addressing these issues

You need to leave the format alone. If it aint broke don't fix it. If you need to provide work for people to invent jobs for themselves, send them outside to pull up weeds. This sucks

Yup, I want the 'classic' back. I liked seeing less info on each email and more emails. I get so many, this way they get lost really easily. And I hate the way it clumps conversations. Just let them come in in order.

This response was ********. Of no help to me whatsoever. Why fix something that isn't broken. My email worked fine before now I cant get to any thing. If not fixed today I guess I will have to change my email to another . I am very angry!!!!

Outlook Live mail was definitely the superior email program. Many more useful and sensible options. Did not have all the distracting "advertisements" and "pop up" advertising present today. In my view the email changes were made to monetarize the product while at the same time degrading the email service.

Why You allwayse change the appearance? I just got used to the last one and started to like it. Now it's new again. Stop changein it or let users select from options.

Látom, megint az megy, mint amikor a Skype lett minden váltáskor egyre pocsékabb, akkor is le...ták a felhasználó reklamációit. "Megúnják és hazamennek" mondta egy gengszter 2006-ban, a microfost átvette a mószert.
