The new web calendar is missing lot of options, such as inviting others and even editing the description.

Thank you for your feedback! The deployment for adding attendees and editing the description in a calendar event in the Outlook.com beta is now complete. If you refresh, you should be able to see the experience.

Agreed. If they keep it this way I will have to quit using.

The Calendar - it is not a bug - the new outlook.com calendar has an extremely basic calendar feature (granted it is pretty, but almost like a text message in lack of information). The old one you could to a lot more and it WAS leading edge and worked well. The new calendar is like a kids school app. This has been tested by MicroSoft a long time; so how could they depower a tool so important and literally no long comparable in feature to gmail. Please give us the old calendar back (it is dated but functional at least).

I have to constantly switch between the beta and old version to be able to edit and add information that's only available in the old version. This is really frustration. The new interface is OK but the lack of fields (e.g., the email reminder) in the beta is really annoying. It's one thing to release a MVP in beta, but to not provide functionality that was in a previous version is a really poor product management / release management decision.

How are calendar features as basic as editing an event, adding attendees, and changing the description of an event missing!
