my junk folder is gone, so is my Focused and Others? Help!!!
Where are these folders? Did Microsoft change something the week of April 9th 2018??

We’re sorry people are experiencing issues here. We have gone back to the old behavior for the left-hand folder tree to always show since last year and we hope this has addressed most issues.
There are some reports in the comments about individual folders not showing up. In order for us to get to the bottom of the issue, please post as much detail as possible in your comments. What steps are you taking? Which browser/computer/operating system are you using?
Thank you for your help.

My most important file has disappeared: Indie Books. Where is it? This is NOT helpful.

For two days now I have had no access to my junk folder in the desktop web version. This is extremely frustrating!! I did not delete it, I've checked the deleted folder. Please fix this!

Always Display Folders. Still have to toggle to display folders every time I open Outlook Mail. Previous versions always displayed folders automatically. Horrible that you have changed this and still have not fixed this and/or added a setting to always view folders. Enough BS making us jump through hoops to get you to fix this. FIX IT ALREADY!

A recent e-mail from Outlook team stated that all features from previous edition have been put into new version. I still have to toggle to view folders. Obviously Microsoft missed this again. "Put the folder pane in view all the time" Or add an option to the settings to do so. THIS IS STILL A BIG PAIN!!!! Lets Go Microsoft! Fix your ***** up already. Microsoft continues to move backwards. If your going to make changes, make them for the better, Not Worse. Absolutely ridiculous! You screwed it up twice. Please get this right already!!!

My Junk folder has just disappeared. I wouldn't mind but sometimes important emails go into it and I have to move them. What a bloody pain. Can anyone tell me where the junk folder has gone, and more importantly how to get it back?

Always Display Folders. This New Beta Version of Outlook.com mail requires you to toggle to view folders every time you go to Outlook.com mail. This is an extra step that is not necessary. It is called auto-hide that allows a larger viewing pane. There needs to be a setting to "Always Display Folders" so you don't have to toggle to view folders. A big pain! Microsoft once again is going backwards trying to improve something that does not need to be improved. "ADD SETTING TO ALWAYS VIEW FOLDERS" Big pain ********** to have to toggle to view folders. The previous version displayed folders automatically. Big mistake by Outlook Engineers. This needs to be changed!

Please make the lefthand navigation pane open by default again. It's helpful to see immediately how many new emails we have in our Focused and Other inboxes.

Since the recent outlook upgrade, my folders and favourites disappear when I log out, so I always have to click the side menu to make them appear again. This is so annoying! How can I make them stay there permanently on the left of the message area? Nothing in the settings or help facility to show what to do.

We should be able to pin the menu open, the way it's always been.

I can't find the junk mail. Some things I use are in junk mail instead of the stuff on screen. I really don't like this new program. Thank you

I don't want the side menue to be collapsed by default. It is confusing.

At this point the update is just a change with really no new advantages, at least for me. Now that I have removed the extraneous elements by changing the settings it is somewhat better but am not impressed. Why should Ineed to click every time to get my list of folders?
