Permanently Delete Items
Being able to recover items from Deleted Items may be considered a feature by some, I'd like it to be a bug. Just delete the rubbish, don't argue about it. Also why are Todo items appearing in my Outlook deleted items folder?
Why 'recover' is wrong:- I delete something, it moves to the deleted folder. Maybe I then 'permanently' delete it, which i have to confirm - so that's three steps already (delete, delete again, confirm).. Then I am told I can 'recover' it. So let's say it something I really need to delete. Because I'm worried that someone who got access to my email could use it against me in some way, say, or because it was sent to me and is so hateful I want to be sure. Or some company sent me my password and login information in plain text and it's a security risk - which has happened more than once (and if I change the password they'll do it again!). Why aren't I allowed to REALLY delete that? Presumably archives for legitimate law enforcement with required court authorisation could be kept. But after three steps, gone should be gone, no one gaining access to my account should be able to recover stuff.
Today’s date is Monday, February 18, 2019
Since Monday, February 11, 2019 my deleted items have begun accumulating and I have been unable to delete them from my account
I now have 3,586 items that need to be deleted.
When I try to empty the deleted items folder it asks me:
Are you sure you want to permanently delete all the items in “Deleted Items”?
I click “Delete All”
It tells me:
Emptying folder (0 of 3,586)
The folder is being emptied
Then it tells me:
This folder is empty
Successfully emptied folder
Recover Items deleted from this folder (0 items)
Slowly but surely I am eating up the amount of storage that I have on that account, and soon it will become disabled and I will no longer be able to send or receive mail.
I have also tried to delete the items from different browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox, the result is still the same, the items delete and reappear.
I need assistance form the Microsoft Webmail Support Team.
Please fix this problem.
This is the SECOND time in TWO weeks that this problem has occurred.
The first time that the Deleted Items stopped deleting was on Monday, January 28, 2019, and now it has happened again.
I do not understand why this keeps happening.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
I concur. I want the system to delete that which I delete without making me jump through hoops to delete them.

I just want to contact support or complain about my lateyear HORRIBLE user experience...
Please let me know where to do it.
The "Empty folder " does not permanently delete emails it goes to the recovery folder then i
have to delete twice
I AM very angry about the option to recover my deleted emails!!! Ik want them deleted and not that I have to klik again on recover and delete it again. This is very very very irritating.
I would be good if recoverable items could be read in alpha order.
I do not want to delete the items permanently from the recover item folder. I don't want to see the Recover items deleted from this folder message. Help me in resolving this issue

Deleted items. Recover items deleted from this folder (402 items) - hyperlinked.
Whenever I choose Empty Folder in Deleted Items, I will never want to recover those deleted items. I'm not sure about this, but I think there should be a way to permanently delete items so they can't be recovered. I can do this on my PC with my Trash bin.

the deleted folder is a PAIN **********! when I delete something it should be deleted! I should not have to go into a separate deleted folder to finally delete the junk I was deleting! THIS ISSUE IS GOING TO MAKE ME STOP USING THIS SERVICE . it is very annoying and was not an issue in past versions of outlook mail.

Want ability for 'Deleted Items' to be PERMANENTLY deleted. Do not like them "recoverable".
When I EMPTY the Deleted Items folder, I DO definitely wanted all gone, WHY it has to go to the recover folder????
When I delete something it goes to delete folder. I like this and I am used to it. It has been this way for years! I DO NOT LIKE THIS JUNK WHERE THERE IS YET ANOTHER RECOVERY FOLDER for when I say to empty my deleted folder. You do not provide a way for my to disable that. In my opinion, this is a security issue as well. When I say to delete something form my deleted folder it should be GONE! Someone who gets into my account should not be able to rummage through a recovery folder. I have searched the internet and there appears to be numerous people complaining about this but no solution.
This feature is very problematic. We all know that an email is also Co² pollution. Sending a simple email is like having a light bulb turned on during 24h. And conserving them have the same kind of harmful effect on the planet. I have thousands of them in my trash can. Please, do something .
Permanent storage of deleted emails is unconstitutional seizure of private emails
same as Google has done for years.
EXACTLY, I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND MY LONG DELETED E-MAILS WERE FLOATING AROUND ON A SERVER. SO MUCH FOR PRIVACY, BEWARE PEOPLE.
